- This card can be searched by "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk" and "Magician's Circle".
- "Toon Table of Contents" works well with this card.
- Use "Foolish Burial" to drop strong Spellcasters into the Graveyard for later revival through this card.
- Use two Spell Counters from this card to Special Summon "Apprentice Magician". Its effect gives "Magical Exemplar" or another monster another Spell Counter. Then you can use your Normal Summon for the turn to Tribute "Apprentice Magician", or Tribute it using "Magical Dimension" to summon an even stronger Spellcaster and destroy an opposing monster.
- This card gains Spell Counters much more quickly than any other card, making it perfect card to use for "Mega Ton Magical Cannon".
- After playing a Spell Card you can activate "Miracle Restoring" to Special Summon either "Dark Magician" or "Buster Blader" from your Graveyard.
- You can activate "Foolish Burial" to send "Frequency Magician" or "Night's End Sorcerer" to the Graveyard, then revive it with "Magical Exemplar" and then summon a level 6 synchro monster like "Explosive Magician" or "Tempest Magician".
- After you activate a Spell Card you can easily use "Anti-Spell".
- You can use "Pitch-Black Power Stone" to easily get Spell Counters on "Magical Exemplar".
- Use "Magical Exemplar" with "Disenchanter" and a Continuous Spell Card to produce at least 1Spell Counters per turn. Combine with "Tempest Magician".
- Use this card along with "Arcanite Magician". It will get plenty of Spell Counters to destroy your opponent's cards without reducing Arcanite's ATK.
- Use this card and "Star Blast" to special summon a high level Spellcaster monster from your hand.
- Use "Magical Blast" to generate 2 spell counters per turn, and burn your opponent for 200 points per Spellcaster monster you control.
