- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Last Will", "Giant Rat", "Gokipon", and "Howling Insect"
- Use "Castle Walls", "The Reliable Guardian" or "Chorus of Sanctuary" to increase it's DEF and prevent it from being destroyed by battle.
- Use "Light of Intervention" in conjunction with "Ultimate Offering" to get this card and "Petit Moth" together in one turn easily.
- Use Stalling cards like "Swords of Revealing Light" or attack-negation cards like "Magic Cylinder" until you can Tribute the equipped Petit Moth for its later forms.
- Use "Magic Reflector" on "Cocoon of Evolution" while it is equiped to "Petit Moth", to protect it from being destroyed by cards like "De-Spell", or "Mystical Space Typhoon".
- You can equip "Heart of Clear Water or a similar Spell Card that prevents the equipped monster from being destroyed.
