- Use this card with "Robbin' Goblin" to discard a second card from your opponent's hand.
- "Wattcube" is a good way to boost this card's relatively small ATK.
- If you have Wattcine on the field, you can use Screen of Red to protect this card and your other Watt monsters. Wattcine will cover Screen of Red's cost and give you an extra 400 Lifepoints.
- You can equip this card with "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce" which will allow you to reduce the size of your opponent's hand pretty fast. Combine it with "Wattcube", "Axe of Despair", or "United We Stand" for more ATK, and add "Wattcine" to gain huge LP upon dealing damage.
- Play "Messenger of Peace" to ensure that no monster can overpower "Wattchimera".
- Use "Battery Charger" to special summon "Batteryman AAA" from the graveyard, then normal summon "Wattgoldfish" to easily summon this card.
- When an opponent attacks "Wattchimera" with a monster with a higher attack, use "Power Frame" to negate the attack and increase "Wattchimera's attack by the difference between the two monsters.
