- This card can be searched via "One for One", "Sangan", "Last Will", "Witch of the Black Forest", "Mother Grizzly", "Dupe Frog" and "Substitoad".
- This card works well with "Spiritual Water Art - Aoi", the second effect of "Enemy Controller", and single-Tribute Monsters like the Monarchs. All of these allow for great potential at gaining Card Advantage.
- Sometimes it is best to discard "Treeborn Frog" instead of setting it, because there is a chance the opponent will use "Nobleman of Crossout" on it. This will remove "Treeborn Frog" from play, most likely making it useless for the remainder of the duel.
- This card is ideal to use in a Monarch Control Deck.
- This card works well with "Raging Eria".
- This card can be used to weaken "Light and Darkness Dragon". Continuously try to Special Summon it, and each time it fails, "Light and Darkness Dragon" loses 500 ATK.
- You can use this card as easy Tribute food for Infernal Dragon, since Infernal Dragon will destroy it and revive itself, and the Frog will revive on your next turn.
- This card, obviously, belongs in a Frog Deck. You can discard this card for One for One to special summon Substitoad and then normal summon a monster and tribute it for Dupe Frog for an instant lock. Treeborn Frog can be special summoned during your next standby phase if you control no spells or traps. Then you may offer Treeborn Frog again.
