- This card has a good counterpart known as "Ryu Senshi". Along with "Fiend Skull Dragon", they have same ATK, DEF and similar effects (though "Ryu Senshi" is level 6 while "Dark Balter the Terrible" and "Fiend Skull Dragon" are level 5).
- The mouth in the center of this card resembles "Mad Archfiend"
- The clothing of this monster seems to be the same as the ones worn by his Fusion Material Monster "Frontier Wiseman", as if he becomes demonic because of his fusion with "Possessed Dark Soul".
