- "Mad Archfiend" does not have its second effect the first time Jack Atlas used it.
- In the anime "Mad Archfiend's" attack is called Bone Shard Shower.
- Jack Atlas is seen using this in a flashback in episode 2. Yusei Fudo tries to attack it with "Junk Warrior", but Jack activates "Shadow Spell". On Jack's turn he attacked "Junk Warrior" with "Mad Archfiend" winning the duel. How this is possible is not made clear as Yusei had 300 Life Points and the difference between the two monsters' ATK would only have been 200.
- Jack attacked and destroyed Yusei's "Quillbolt Hedgehog" with "Mad Archfiend" in episode 4.
- In episode 33, in a flashback, Jack is shown Summoning this on his first turn against a member of the Magician's Four.
- Jack Atlas uses this card in episode 76. It was destroyed by Assault Wheel and inflicted 2300 damage to Jack because Assault Wheel has a piercing effect.
