- In the manga, this card was originally a Non-Synchro Effect Monster. Despite the non-existence of Synchros during the GX era, this card was still made into a Synchro Monster anyways.
- This card has a "LIGHT" counterpart, "Light End Dragon", they have the same level, the same ATK and DEF, and their positions mirror each other.
- "Dark End Dragon" appears in the artwork of "Wicked Rebirth".
