- This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Kaiser Sea Horse".
- You can use "Decoy Dragon" to Special Summon "Felgrand Dragon" from your Graveyard and redirect the attack to "Felgrand Dragon".
- You can dump a monster for Felgrand Dragon's effect with Foolish Burial or Fusion Guard.
- It's possible to dump this card along with another powerful one (for Felgrand Dragon's effect) by using a ritual monster. A ritual spell card (such as Advanced Ritual Art) will say, for example, 8 stars or more, allowing you to dump any number of monsters to summon the ritual monster.
- You can use Generation Shift to destroy Felgrand Dragon to bring another to your hand. Allowing the first to use its effect later.
- Use Rope of Life when this card is sent to the Graveyard and then it gains 800 ATK plus it's effect bonus.
- If you have Five-Headed Dragon on the field, activate Burst Breath to destroy your opponent's monsters then activate Monster Reborn to bring out Felgrand Dragon and select Five-Headed in your graveyard, making Felgrand's total attack points 5200.
- If this card was sent to the graveyard from the field, you can use the effect of "The Creator" to bring this card back with its effect.
