- This monster, as well as "Elemental HERO Neos" and "Neo Space Pathfinder", most likely derives from the Tokusatsu Ultraman genre, or possibly Guyver.
- This card was the first Gemini monster to also be part of an archetype.
- "Alius" is Latin for "another".
- This card's name, "Neos Alius", means "Another New" in Greek and Latin combined.
- "Elemental HERO Captain Gold","Elemental HERO Nova Master" and "Elemental HERO Neos Alius" are the only "Elemental HERO" monsters who haven't made an appearance in either the anime or the manga.
- Elemental HERO Neos Alius makes it's first appearance in Yu-Gi-Oh! D Team ZEXAL - Chapter 021.
- This is one of the 11 non-fusion "Elemental HERO" monsters that does not have a Fusion Monster that requires it as a Fusion Material Monster. The other ten are:
- Elemental HERO Neo Bubbleman
- Elemental HERO Captain Gold
- Elemental HERO Voltic
- Elemental HERO Ice Edge
- Elemental HERO Knospe
- Elemental HERO Poison Rose
- Elemental HERO Prisma
- Elemental HERO Stratos
- Elemental HERO Flash
- Elemental HERO Shadow Mist
- However, he can be substituted for "Elemental HERO Neos" in a Contact Fusion or for the Special Summon of "Neos Wiseman".
- This is a younger counterpart of "Elemental HERO Neos".
- "Alius" may be a pun on Alias or another name for something, tying in with this card's effect.
