Man, when the new cards came out with "and if you do" effect, it got me really confused. so, is it possible for an effect to activate in a middle of another effect like "Photon Papilloperative"? If that's not possible because of missing the timing, then what's it really used for? 24.83.215.20 (talk) 22:29, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
- It doesn't activate separately, it resolves as part of the same effect. It's basically the same as things like Upstart Goblin and Soul Taker. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:52, June 12, 2012 (UTC)
It just means that if you're unsuccessful for whatever reason, that part of the effect won't resolve. Say a card said: "Target 1 Monster on the field; Destroy it, and if you do, draw 1 card." If something like Safe Zone was chained, or you targeted a Monster like Red Nova Dragon, you wouldn't draw a card. Lappyzard (talk • contribs) 01:57, June 12, 2012 (UTC)
