- "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" appears on the artwork of the following cards:
- In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, "Nagas" are a race of divine beings which take the forms of serpents or snake-people.
- Keeping in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, this cards resurrection effect seems to be reminiscent of the concept of reincarnation; being reborn in another life after death.
- This card is currently the only monster in the TCG/OCG that has blanket immunity from spells, traps and effects of monsters. The only things that can send it to the Graveyard are battle, being Tributed for the Summon of another monster, and the effects of "Lava Golem" and "Volcanic Queen".
- Given how its effect uses "Hyper-Venom Counters" to win the game instead of directly damaging their life points, this card may be seen as an homage to the "Poisonous" or "Infect" abilities in Magic: The Gathering, which operate in a similar manner.
