Contents
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[1] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. Mentions in Other Rulings
- Lone Wolf: If you have "Monk Fighter" targeted by "Lone Wolf", the following are examples of monster effects that will NOT be negated because they are not applied to a monster:..."Dark Magician Girl" (her ATK is still increased by her effect)...
Dark Magician Girl's Effect
Question: Does dark magician girl get a power boost from any card with "Dark Magician" in it's card name?
Answer: No, it says "Dark Magician" and not a "Dark Magician monster". The latter would mean 'any monster with Dark Magician in the name', similar to things that look for 'Six Samurai monsters' or "Gladiator Beast" monsters .
Without saying card/monster, it means it is directly specific for any card called, and only called "Dark Magician", ie, the Lv7 Normal Monster. No other variant counts, so she will not get a power boost from a Skilled Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl or Dark Magician of Chaos ect.
Scource: Common Knowledge that should be added here, found on many official websites and forums.
