- This monster, as well as "Elemental HERO Neos" and "Neo Space Pathfinder", most likely derives from the Tokusatsu Ultraman genre, or possibly Guyver.
- This card was the first Gemini monster to also be part of an archetype.
- "Alius" is Latin for "another".
- This card's name, "Neos Alius", means "Another New" in Greek and Latin combined.
- This monster is the only "Elemental HERO" monster whose anime/manga debut was not in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX-related material.
- This is a younger counterpart of "Elemental HERO Neos".
- "Alius" may be a pun on Alias or another name for something, tying in with this card's effect.
