• This card may have been what the Crystal Beasts crystalizing effect was based on. Though this card has somewhat of an opposite effect, special summoning to the field when destroyed in the spell and trap zone.

• "Toy Magician" is the only "Monster Card" that can be set as a Spell Card.

• This card resembles "Wind-Up" monsters and works well with their support regardless of not being one.

• In "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2" and "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3", a character setting this card in the Spell/Trap Zone will always say "I'm setting a monster" or a similar dialogue, then proceed to set a card in the Spell/Trap Zone, making obvious they're setting this card.

• This card resembles Geno from the Super Mario video games.
