- You can keep returning "Swords of Revealing Light" to your hand to prevent your opponent from attacking while increasing this card's attack.
- This card's recycling capabilities are perhaps better than its intended ability. Use it on monsters whose effects activate when Summoned or Spell/Trap cards that would otherwise only temporarily stay on the field (as above and with Premature Burial like one would do with Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Boundary).
- You can return Elemental Hero Absolute Zero to the Extra Deck to destroy all of your opponent's monsters. Dulauren won't get a boost from Absolute Zero though.
- You can return cards that stop both players from attacking like Nightmare's Steelcage or Gravity Bind so only you can attack and just replay the cards after the Battle Phase
- This card can also work good with monsters that have effects that activate when they are Normal Summoned such as "Breaker the Magical Warrior", "Creeping Doom Manta", or "Marauding Captain", just return the monster to your hand and Normal Summon it again.
- This card works great with any card that allows you to take control of your opponent's cards, since this card states that the cards are returned to YOUR hand, not the OWNER's hand. Use Mind Control to take control of one of their monsters. That monster cannot attack or be offered as a tribute anyway, so you can send it to your hand with Dulauren's effect. Use Mark of the Rose or Brain Control to take control of your opponent's monster, attack with it, and then use Dulauren's effect to send it to your hand so that your opponent does not regain control of it.
