In the four-way Duel that determined who will Duel who in the Battle City Finals, Marik Summoned this card in Defense Position on his opening turn. In his next turn, he attacked Seto's Vorse Raider with it. Since Vorse Raider had more ATK, Newdoria was destroyed. This, however, activated its effect, allowing Marik to destroy Vorse Raider.
