Card Appearances:Blue Flame Swordsman
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Waking the Dragons
- In episode 172, Joey Wheeler uses this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine. He summons this card in Attac Position. Mai's "Cyber Harpie Lady" (whose ATK was 2100 due to it being equipped with "Aero Nail") then attacks and destroys this card. Joey then activates this card's first effect to Special Summon "Flame Swordsman". In the next episode, Joey activates "The Warrior Returning Alive" to add this card from the Graveyard to his hand. Joey then summons this card to the field. Joey then creates "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword" by merging his "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" with "The Claw of Hermos". Joey then equips "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword" onto this card, increasing its ATK by 1000. This card then attacks and destroys one of Mai's "Harpie Lady Sisters". Mai then activates "Harpie's Feather Duster" to destroy Joey's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword" and his two set cards. She then activates "Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation" to destroy this card and inflict its total ATK as damage to Joey, but Joey uses this card's second effect to decrease this card's ATK to 0 and increase the ATK of one of Mai's "Harpie Lady Sisters" by the same amount so that he would take no damage from "Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation's" effect. Joey then uses this card's first effect to Special Summon "Flame Swordsman" from the Graveyard.
- In episode 184, this card appears in a flashback Mai has when she remembers Joey telling her he learned a lot from Dueling Valon and that he is Dueling her in order to convey his will to her.
Grand Championship
- When Joey Wheeler duels against Zigfried von Schroeder, Joey draws this card and "Release Restraint" via the effect of "Nibelung's Ring". Due to the latter's effect, Joey was forced to discard this card to the Graveyard.
