This card was summoned by Weevil Underwood as his opening move in his Battle City Duel with Joey Wheeler. Joey then Summoned Swordsman of Landstar and Set a card. Weevil attacks, but Joey activates Shield & Sword, changing the ATK of Flying Kamakiri 1 and Swordsman of Landstar to 900 and 1200, respectively. This destroys Flying Kamakiri 1 and drops Weevil's Life Points to 3700, but this allows Weevil to Special Summon Flying Kamakiri 2.

Chazz Princeton later used this card during his third duel with Jaden Yuki, where he discarded this card to activate Armed Dragon Lv. 5's effect, allowing him to destroy Elemental Hero Burstinatrix, since it was weaker than Flying Kamakiri 1.
