- During his Duel against Seto Kaiba, Yugi Muto summons this card by using "Polymerization" to fuse "Meteor Dragon" with Shougo Aoyama's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon". This monster destroyed Seto's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon's 3-Body Connection" and won Yugi the Duel.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[edit]
- In episode 158, Trueman uses this card during his Duel against Jaden Yuki. He summons this card via "Polymerization", fusing "Meteor Dragon" with "King of the Swamp" (who acts as the substitute for "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" due to its own effect). Trueman then uses this card to attack and destroy "Elemental HERO Mudballman". On Trueman's next turn, this card attacks directly, but Jaden activates "A Hero Emerges" to make Trueman select one random card in his hand. Trueman selects a card and Jaden reveals the card to be "Elemental HERO Neos". Because of that, Jaden Special Summons "Neos" from his hand. A replay occurs and Trueman uses this card to attack "Neos", but Jaden activates "Soul Union" to target "Elemental HERO Mudballman" and increase the ATK of "Elemental HERO Neos" by the ATK of "Mudballman". "Neos" then destroys this card.
- In the Japanese version, the attack name for this card is Burning Dark Meteor.

- The main player can get this card from Jono 2nd or Low Meadow Mage. In the game, this is the highest ATK monster that the player can summon by Fusion and also the strongest monster that can be summoned by a Normal Summon, beating the second strongest ("Blue-Eyes White Dragon") by 500 Attack points.
- In addition, one of its two Guardian Stars beat the Gate Guardian's default one, allowing MBD to win due to the extra 500 ATK alloted during this battle. For reference, Gate Guardian is the second strongest monster the CPU is able to summon (and do so quite often during the final duels of the campaign) right after Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
