OCG Rulings
- Q: "Magical Burst" is face-up in my Spell & Trap Zone with 3 Spell Counters on it. In this situation, if my opponent activates "Photon Sanctuary" and Special Summons 2 "Photon Tokens", can I activate the effect of a "Mythical Beast Garuda" in my hand that Special Summons it?
- A: You can activate the effect of "Mythical Beast Garuda" in your hand even when your opponent Special Summons a Token(s). In that case, "Mythical Beast Garuda" is Special Summoned normally, but when returning the opponent's Summoned monsters to the hand, the 2 "Photon Tokens" disappear and do not return to the hand.[1]
