5D's manga's English names[edit]

Yo, I noticed you edit the 5D's manga articles as well, so I guess it doesn't hurt to explain. Yeah, the 4 names thing is true: between volumes 2, 4 and 5 Hawk Joe was called Hawk Joe the Jet Black, Blackhawk Joe, Hawk Joe and Obsidian Hawk Joe. Viz does that a lot with 5D's, so we decided to, in cases like that, choose the 1 name which we find the most proper translation and use it. By the way, Power Tool is another case like this (volume 4 = Power Tool Mecha Dragon, volume 5 = Machine Dragon Power Tool). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:20, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Gotcha. I'll probably initially use the names in that particular volume by default - until I figure out that something's up. When I edit, that is. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 02:30, November 6, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I'm doesn't do anything. --Samueljoo (talkcontribs) 02:51, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Wicked God/Evil God[edit]

In my opinion both "wicked" and "evil" are valid in this case. But since our article is named "wicked gods", and the official names of them are "The Wicked XXX", calling them "wicked gods" seems like a better idea. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:58, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

Kyoji Yagumo[edit]

Yo, regarding your last edit in Yagumo's article. In Japanese, it's common to call a person you're not very close to by their last name (I myself call him "Yagumo", 'cuz I don't like that guy xD). However, here in the Wikia, we should always call the characters by their first names, which is how we do it in English. So, we should refer to Kyoji Yagumo as "Kyoji" rather than "Yagumo". ;) LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:53, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

By the way, thanks for helping with summaries and biographies from the manga. I used to do most of those myself, but I haven't had much time lately, so I'm only able to create the articles for the latest chapters and characters and add some files, like how I just did with Yagumo. If you have any doubts about editing or even about the mangas themselves, don't hesitate to ask me or Cheesedude (he's better at explaining about editing and I'm better at explaining about the manga, but we're both good in both things xD). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:12, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

Yo, do you have Rank 36 of ZEXAL in English? I was completing Haruto's biography but I didn't understand 100% of what Yagumo said about him in this chapter (I'm still learning Japanese, I don't understand 100% of it :P). He said something about his memories being "burnt", right? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:56, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

Viz is releasing ZEXAL chapters mothly in English in the Weekly Shonen Jump (English) since Rank 19. I've had access to them once, lost it, then got it back, so I've got a "hole" from Ranks 33 to 36. By the way, you can read most of those here, in case you want to. I'm Kankurou there, I'm one of the bigger manga contributors (proud of that xD). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 01:42, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

Yo. I just noticed, the title pages of the DM chapters you've been uploading, aren't those form scanlations (made by fans)? Because we kinda avoid to use scans from scanlations here. :P Even when all we had for 5D's were Chinese scanlations, we had to add images for the card without the text, so we ended up adding just the artwork. Official stuff rulez the Wikia. :P If those are from the official English volumes, then it's fine, sorry for bothering. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:07, February 23, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, I see, it's fine then. And yeah, don't worry, you can use them (I do too every month with ZEXAL). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:35, February 23, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Mosaic Manticore[edit]

Yeah, this is the old rules' fault. In DM and R, it seems that Fusion Monsters are not an individual card, but are instead just the union of its materials (this was made clear when Yako summoned Belial and Kaiba stated that since Manticore was made up of level 4 monsters it couldn't attack). Still, there's a difference between the kind of fusion regular fusion monsters go (like Arcana Knight Joker) and "union" fusion monsters go; with this I mean monsters like XYZ and Manticore, which don't use Polymerization. It seems that in the case of "union fusion", it's literally as if the material monsters just got one in the top of another. I honestly don't know how to handle this well, maybe we should discuss this with other admins. I was thinking about just explaining these old rules in the Fusion Monster or Yu-Gi-Oh! R article and leaving only the actual effects of the fusion monsters in their articles. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:59, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, I see. I removed the "this card's materials are still treated as being on the field" part from Mosaic Manticore's effect, then. Although, I think you should specify that this only applies to the original manga and R, and not all manga. In GX and 5D's, fusion monsters work just like in the OCG/TCG. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:49, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Regarding R[edit]

Haha, thanks. Thing is, the DM and R manga are pretty poor here in the Wikia, so, lots of work to do regarding those (mainly DM). I'm finishing working on R right now, and it seems there's you and Delt working on DM, so I guess we're having some huge manga progress here. xD LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:13, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

I'm starting university soon as well, that's why I finished R's whole volume 5 today, since I'm all free. I wanted to help on DM too, but I'm already "in charge" of 5D's, ZEXAL and D Team ZEXAL, so I'll have to leave it for you guys. :P You can ask me any doubts/checkings though, I have scans of the whole manga (I noticed we have pretty messed up/lacking lores for manga effects of the cards, I'm having to fix/add a lotta effects for R). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:19, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
They did that with DM too? *__* I got pissed when I noticed that they copied the TCG lores of the cards in R, when most of them have completely different effects. Sad to hear they did so with the whole DM as well. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:28, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
So, for short, everything is a mess? :/ LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:42, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
I was considering buying Viz's volumes of Duelist in September together with 5D's vol 6, but I'm not quite sure now. I like it better to read in English than in Portuguese, but I wanna see proper card effects and stuff, which the Brazilian edition do have, I must admit (also it doesn't divide the original manga in 3 parts for no logical reason). :/ LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:56, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
I never watched the anime, I read the manga a long ago by borrowing a friend's volumes. I do plan on buying them though, my only doubt now is whether I should get the Brazilian edition or Viz's edition. I prefer reading in English, but if Viz's lores and stuff are too screwed, I'll opt for the Brazilian volumes, since I remember they had proper translations. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 03:12, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Regarding the rule changes[edit]

Well, I guess you can, so long as you say it's only coming for the OCG (it most likely will come for the TCG as well, but on a different date). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:26, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Episode citations[edit]

Just reminding you, but I think after you put in new information about characters in their articles, it may be a good idea to add the citation (episode number) in which those events happened. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 06:38, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

General Discussion Questions[edit]

3. Which episode did Yami Marik say that he took away Marik's guilt?

4. I know that Marik can communicate with the people he used his Rod on, and that the Shadow Realm is just for the dub versions of the show, but Shadow Games (or Dark Games, as translated) are still played in the Japanese version. When Japanese Yami Marik duels the Pharaoh, it is still a "Dark Game" that will cause Marik or Yugi to go into the shadows. shows what actions and dialogue have been cut from the Japanese to English version of Episode 138, and the Japanese Yami Marik also said their hosts will be lost to the shadows after losing life points (even if the shadows will kill them in the Japanese version instead of being like hell). So why didn't this part of Marik that faded away immediately go into the shadows/darkness/whatever instead of going to Odion first? I can understand that him fading from Odion is most likely due to losing the strength to remain there and talk, but the Japanese version, even without the Realm, supposedly would have the souls go right to the shadows after fading away in this Game.

5. Yeah, they wouldn't really look behind him; I did say everyone was way more interested in the duel, but they did look at each other occasionally when talking about Joey's chance of winning, so they could've seen at the corner of their eye Marik, behind the rest of them, having his arm weirdly continually behind his back (although that is really slim). In the anime after Joey and Odion were chosen by that dragon machine, with Marik not having the Rod at all during this, how could Marik go back to his room to get the real Rod and then go with the gang to watch the duel in time without looking suspicious? And although going back to his room wouldn't take long, it would still seem a little weird, since what would he need in there? All the necessary food and water was in the middle of the blimp, not their rooms. But everyone else was way more interested in watching Joey duel the supposed "Marik" to notice something like this or the real Marik having his arm in a strange position.

I see this more as a manga plot flaw; anime doesn't always follow the manga, like making the virtual world arc that isn't in the comics. We know that Odion was given a fake Rod in the anime and that Marik still has the real one, using it to talk to him while dueling with Joey. Odion, wearing that huge dark cloak, is most likely hiding both Rods in there until he and Marik get on the blimp and in their rooms, thus being able to give Marik the real one. But in the manga, with Odion often being seen with a Rod, and without a fake one being mentioned, it is most likely the real one with him in the comic, and then would have to be taken by Yami Marik after he collapsed into a coma. Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 00:11, June 18, 2014 (UTC)

I can completely understand Marik hiding his Rod inside his clothes; I figured that was what he occasionally did. However, from the time he was shown sitting next to Odion and Kaiba hearing him talking, thus turning on the lights, to the time that he was seen watching the dragon machine choose Odion and Joey to duel, it didn't look like any of his clothes had something in them. In a scene of the gang, close to the end of part 3, wondering why Odion hadn't finished attacking with the Mystical Beast, after he ordered Odion to attack with the fake Ra, he had his right arm next to his right leg without the Rod instead of behind him with it, and I wondered if this was an error. There was the possibility he had put it in his pants' pocket, since he had his hand on his pants' huge pocket that is probably big enough to hold the Rod (although the left hand instead of the right, with which he had held his Rod behind him), but in the first scene of him in the duel during part 4, it was back hidden behind him in his right hand; also in this scene, his left hand is still on his left pant leg, so most likely an error for this time of possibly being hidden behind his clothes. However, since the pockets are abnormally big for pants, I guess that he could have hidden the Rod in the right leg pocket instead of going to his room to get it before the duel, even though I said above it didn't look like he had anything actually in his pants.Mistystar31 (talk contribs) 05:10, June 18, 2014 (UTC)

Manual of Style[edit]

I can see that you've started writing episode summaries, but in the future, it may be a better idea to follow the manual of style in the future. For further reference, read up on the ZEXAL summaries that me and Cheesedude did in the past. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 07:47, September 7, 2014 (UTC)

RE:5D's Mega Pack[edit]

The card lists have been standardized to be kept on separate pages for awhile now (some older pages have not been adapted yet, however). This is courtesy of Template:Set list tabs, which makes those separate "list pages" appear on 1 page. You can explore the 5D's Mega-Pack page and others to see how it's done. You'll also be able to see you can edit the transcluded lists, by clicking their edit buttons in the top-right corner of their lists. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:04, October 1, 2014 (UTC)

Fanfiction Assistance[edit]

I am currently trying to write a fanfiction story, which is why I have been asking certain questions that sometimes have "no" answers or even a magical fantasy theory due to being a plot hole in the anime and/or manga. However, please look at my most current question, "Shadow Realm + Comas?". I know this "dark" place is completely fictional and even posted that, but the only person who recently answered just told me the place isn't real. Please try to find an answer for this topic, so I can continue my story. Thank you very much.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 06:04, December 8, 2014 (UTC) Thanks for all your help. Check one last time on the forum topic; I slightly changed/added a little to my last post about mind and soul. And good luck to any more stories you write, whether for Yu-Gi_Oh! or other shows and series.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 02:13, December 9, 2014 (UTC)

More Assistance[edit]

I have another question or 2 for my fanfic, and you most likely will have the answers I need. They're on the General Discussions board, as usual. Thanks in advance for any help or answers.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 01:12, December 15, 2014 (UTC)

Got another few questions for you.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 00:58, February 5, 2015 (UTC) Yes, these are the new 2 topics on the General Discussion Board. They're about ages and Shadi.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 03:33, February 5, 2015 (UTC)

The So-called MegaDuelist[edit]

Come on you hack. Take off your nostalgia blinders, wake up, and smell the java. Yu-Gi-Oh! hasn't been remotely balanced since ZEXAL. I've already left Yu-Gi-Oh! to go hang out in with Vanguard and you are more than welcome to come join me.MegaDuelist427 (talkcontribs) 22:56, December 26, 2014 (UTC) (Just moved this garbage...) Synchro Dimension History[edit]

When he said "the facility I grew up" it was a figure of speech for the Commons. Don't take everything so literallyManyfaceblake (talkcontribs) 01:22, May 10, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, admittedly the page that I quoted mentions that facility could have been anything from "juvie detention center" to "orphanage". HOWEVER, it's probably best to keep it as facility for now since we know of organizations in the past called "The Facility" in the mainstream universe .Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 01:31, May 10, 2015 (UTC)

Having fusion summoning at all in the shows means NOTHING since it's a mechanic that's been around since the original Yugioh. Just cuz 5Ds has fusion summoning doesn't mean it can't be the synchro dimension, same for Zexal and the Xyz dimension. 15:19, May 10, 2015 (UTC)

Are Shadow Games inside the Shadow Realm?[edit]

Are the Shadow Games, which are in tiny spheres of shadows and darkness, such as during the Battle City tournament, in a tiny part of the whole Shadow Realm? For example, in the finale of Season 3, when Yami Yugi dueled Yami Marik in a Shadow Game, is the duel of their Shadow Game inside the Shadow Realm (although the loser of their game would go to the entire Realm)? Are the dark purple/blue/black spheres of darkness of the Shadow Games in which characters duel also a small part where the entire Shadow Realm is inside?

Despite the Shadow Realm being for English, mainly American, kids instead of having them die after 24 hours, like Mai, such as in the Japanese original version, I just need to know the answer to this question for a story.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 03:16, June 10, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I believe that it was actually stated that they are. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 03:23, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
When was that stated? I have looked inside both the wiki pages of Shadow Game and Shadow Realm, and I don't believe I read that. If you know when/what page, could you tell me? But thank you for help again.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 03:42, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
Not on the wiki as far as I know, but the dub states it a few times. The one that largely comes to mind is Yami Bakura's first Shadow Game, and Pegasus probably said it at some point too. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 04:04, June 10, 2015 (UTC)

Solid vision[edit]

So that means the lancers can counterattack the enemies using their duel monsters even without dueling as long as they want to? Denversapple (talkcontribs) 08:32, July 3, 2015 (UTC)

Strong Spirits/Souls[edit]

As you said, Joey has a strong spirit/soul since he was able to break free from Marik's mind-control with the Rod. What other characters would you also consider (at least usually) to have a strong spirit?

I would think Odion, since despite his horrible physical condition, hardly able to walk, he headed into the Battle City tower to save Marik, even though Yami Marik slammed him against the tower to try to stop him from talking. Yugi at first appeared to be a scared boy, but after meeting Yami Yugi, he became much more courageous after time, and was willing to both be the duelist fighting brainwashed Joey and save him by purposely losing that duel, and also was willing to sacrifice himself and deal with the pain of losing his body during the Battle City final for Yami Yugi, both when the Pharaoh lost and needed to give up Life Points, in order to win. Yami Yugi does as well seem to have a strong soul, always willing to try to risk things in mainly magical games, mostly Shadow Games of Duel Monsters, even when he has a major disadvantage to win, especially when it is to help people, like his promise to Ishizu to save regular, good Marik, or free Joey from his dog suit and didn't even know all the rules of non-magical Dungeon Dice Monsters. Kaiba appears to have a great spirit with his annoyingly usually grumpy attitude, never willing to give up, like Yami Yugi. Yami Marik seems to have one as well. Do you think Marik has a strong spirit, since (although with Odion's help and the Pharaoh's attack) he was able to retake control of his body? Do you think Ishizu has a great spirit, such as because she was going to, if Kaiba hadn't changed his destiny, eventually duel her brother? I wouldn't think of Tea or Mokuba as strong-spirited, since Tea couldn't get out of the Rod's mind-control, although it did take Joey some time, and although Mokuba was able to escape with Tea's help from the Rare Hunters and return to Kaiba, he doesn't seem like it except in rare, tiny parts like that to have a strong soul; I wouldn't say Serenity either, even after having full sight, except in tiny times like Mokuba, like when she dived into the sea to save Joey from drowning. I don't know about Tristan or Duke, but probably Mai.

Which characters do you think have an excellent spirit besides Joey? Odion, Yami Yugi, Yugi, Yami Marik, Marik, Kaiba, possibly Ishizu and Mai, and any other ones I haven't written? Even possibly Tea, Mokuba, and Serenity? Just wondering your opinion for my story; I would like your truth, so if any I have mentioned aren't who you think are powerful in their souls/spirits, don't feel like you have to post them.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 03:45, August 19, 2015 (UTC)

So besides Joey, you're mostly agreeing with me, in Odion, Yami Yugi, Kaiba, and Yami Marik of course being strong-spirited. And then of course the weak ones, like Tea and Serenity and perhaps Duke.

So possibly Ishizu, and Marik, since he does seem to get stronger after Battle City with Odion's encouragement, and when he is able to retake control of his body during Odion's help, and also when he accepts his destiny by showing the hieroglyphics on his back; for most of his life, he hated being a tomb-keeper, so it's amazing he had the strength to reveal the scriptures on his back and finally accept his life's purpose. Both siblings having Millennium Items does seem to make them more "powerful", although whether that helps their souls be more powerful because they are holders of Millennium Items instead of regular people, instead of just giving them the powers of seeing both the past and future and mind-control... And when they give their items to Yami Yugi, would you still consider their souls strong, even without the items, since they still were Millennium Item holders? I would think Marik does become strong enough to qualify just because of his actions in the finale of Battle City, willing to sacrifice himself for Yami Yugi to win, at least most likely after Battle City with Odion's support, and maybe beforehand in the duel against his other half with the Millennium Ring's spirit, since he was willing to face his alter ego, but needed a body and relied on Yami Bakura; although he couldn't exactly do it "face-to-face", with Yami Marik in control of his own body and just being a spirit "supporter" next to Yami Bakura, he still "did", just with a different body to take refuge in. I forgot about the Virtual World arc; Mokuba does seem strong there. Tristan is strong-willed, as we see in escaping from the Rare Hunters, holding Serenity on his back, so yeah, I would agree. And yes to Mai, especially in duels, willing to try to summon Ra.

However, there are two other characters I was wondering about--regular Yugi and Yami Bakura. For regular Bakura, I would say he is weak, like in one of the later arcs, he freaks out when he hears Yami Bakura's voice and runs around; however, I would definitely say Yami Bakura is strong in spirit, even before transforming into that monster that he is combined with.

Is regular Yugi like Marik, getting more strong-willed/spirited with making new friends and their support, kind of like the encouragement Marik gets from Odion, and willing to sacrifice himself for them, like Marik telling everyone through Tea that in order to save mankind, he must be sacrificed in the Battle City finale, just like Yugi purposely losing to let Joey live in the brainwashed duel at the docks or letting Yami Yugi sacrifice Life Points for certain moves and know he'll lose parts of his body in the Battle City final Shadow Game?Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 19:33, August 19, 2015 (UTC)

RE: Allusions[edit]

Well, your comment prompted me to check what you edited. After I saw the section you edited, and all the tangential connections that were being made there, I decided that it's not a good idea to have theories that provoke other theories on a mainspace page. Btw, I've also nominated you for adminship. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:47, September 2, 2015 (UTC)

ARC-V Duel Disk[edit]

Hey. I just saw your reply to my message to Cheesedude about the clarifications in the new duel disk. Actually i skipped the earlier episodes. So I don't know where they do that. Maybe you can suggest me an episode where I can clearly see where they put a magic card or a trap card in a duel disk? Denversapple (talkcontribs) 08:36, September 23, 2015 (UTC)

Steven+Amethyst=UnknownFusion (talkcontribs) 09:58, October 2, 2015 (UTC)Thank you Sanokal K-T. I'm glad that someone watched the video and told me what episode it came from. You were talking about the moment starting 1 minute and 4 seconds into the video when Yugi falls to the "ground" and Yami goes to Yugi's side right? Two Cards[edit]

In episode 139, the 2nd part of Yami Yugi--Yami Marik's duel, in a close-up of Marik's hand when he takes Monster Reborn from the graveyard, 2 other cards are seen, different from the Japanese cards in his hand. One is "Fiend's Sanctuary", but what is the other? From what can be seen, it's a trap card with a picture of a bunch of gravestones. Do you know what it's called?Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 01:38, November 4, 2015 (UTC)

I know he doesn't use it, but that's not "Call of the Haunted". It doesn't have any fog, and from what you can see, there's a big tombstone in the middle, a much smaller one in the upper left, and a cross tombstone in the upper right. Do you know what that one is?Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 01:50, November 4, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, that would be it! It definitely looks like that, with the artwork of the upper left tombstone having the gold cross on it. Thank you.Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 02:14, November 4, 2015 (UTC)

Soul vs Spirit[edit]

In my previous General Discussion page, with how the mind could be dominated independently and the soul could possibly be moved from the mind, you mentioned how Joey's spirit as a duelist allowed him to fight back against Marik dominating his mind with the Rod. So for more info about the spirit and soul, when you stated "spirit as a duelist", did you also mean "soul of a duelist", since soul and spirit can be synonyms, or did you mean "Joey's purpose/essence let him fight back"?Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 03:55, November 4, 2015 (UTC)

Ive been doing a lot of things this week and I just added those information when im free. Daijobun! I knew that I have grammar problems and you also know that there are hundreds or maybe thousands of users here to correct that right? Good luck on your exams! Denversapple (talkcontribs) 23:44, November 7, 2015 (UTC)

What do you mean by "speculation"? Many other Yu-Gi-Oh cards actually have Trivia written similar to how I wrote mine. Not only that, I actually gave evidence as to why "Star Eater" is, perhaps, a Synchro Slifer. Why'd you delete it? Yuexo (talkcontribs) 02:30, November 30, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I had forgotten how long it took to get name confirmation on Yuto. Thanks for that. Just so you're aware, that wasn't even my image, I just found it in Special:Unusedimages and added it. There's a lot of stuff in there with the potential to be used. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:11, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

Episode 37 End Credits and Episode 47[edit]

Episode 37 ending credits listed it ps how is episode 47 airing January 24 ? (The Twinke Star in the Skies 21:34, January 16, 2016 (UTC))

Are they doing that now? Then do we know who is voicing Yuto?
I'm not sure. I think that Winter might have screwed up; he's got episode 48 listed as airing on the 18th. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 23:24, January 16, 2016 (UTC)
It's not a screw up @ Ep 47. You can find the listings for the week over in Australia here, you'll find the listing for Ep 47 on page 2, and 48, Battlefield, on page 1. PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 23:38, January 16, 2016 (UTC)

Kotori Mizuki (manga)[edit]

thank you for taking out the Volume 7 heading

--Torimay24 (talkcontribs) 06:52, January 22, 2016 (UTC)Torimay24

It's all good. Thank you in turn for adding the associated information. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 01:40, January 23, 2016 (UTC)

once Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Vol. 8 comes out and I read, I will add the additional information for the Kotori Mizuki (manga) article that's my main article along with if you and the other admins want me to edit the Tori Meadows article if the creators of Yu-Gi-Oh! add her in a movie or in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V in the future

--Torimay24 (talkcontribs) 23:08, January 23, 2016 (UTC)Torimay24

actually let me do the Kotori Mizuki (manga) article that's my job please let me do that article.

--Torimay24 (talkcontribs) 23:11, January 23, 2016 (UTC)Torimay24

I don't mind leaving the bulk of the content to you. I'll clean up based on the manual of style of course (I mean stuff like capitalizing "Duel"). Make sure it focuses on Kotori rather than the events that don't really involve her.Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 23:13, January 23, 2016 (UTC)

actually about that someone needs to write her unknown past between when the show showed her in kindergarten with Yuma Tsukumo and Bronk Stone and when the Zexal era began and ended and I have all of life before and after the Zexal era but I don't know if you and/or the other admins want it.

--Torimay24 (talkcontribs) 01:24, January 24, 2016 (UTC)Torimay24

Don't start this again, please. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 02:59, January 24, 2016 (UTC)

hey I am just saying you or the other admins can choose not to allow the additional information its your and the other admin's choice

I know. Just note, I'm not an admin. Just someone with a cool head. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 04:53, January 24, 2016 (UTC)

I just added a description about Tori Meadows English dub last name if anyone has changed it I am ok with it because people might or might not wanted to know how her English dub last name means

Episode Images[edit]

I'd be happy to do some Arc V images but I don't have an access to high quality Raws of many episodes though I'll do my best, just give me a list and I'll try to find them

That's fine, just one thing how do access hidden notes on summaries?? (YuGi Mon Cards (talkcontribs) 19:44, March 5, 2016 (UTC))

No problem mate, and if they're anymore just let me know because I've got way to much time on my hands (YuGi Mon Cards (talkcontribs) 01:25, March 6, 2016 (UTC))

Would you be able to add citations for out-of-universe origins? I know I'm heard that before, but if you could just cite the volume number and page numbers from said volume, that would be great. Thanks. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:09, March 11, 2016 (UTC)

Skipped Summaries[edit]

I've just been looking at some summaries and have noticed arc-v episode 89 has been skipped, is that deliberate??? (YuGi Mon Cards (talkcontribs) 01:44, March 20, 2016 (UTC))

Yeah. What I do is I download certain episodes onto my phone, but since my phone only has so much space I only download certain ones. Gap episodes like that and episode 95 I tend to skip downloading. I ended up having to prioritize quite a bit even after deleting a lot. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 01:47, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

Oh ok that's cool but will somebody eventually get to them?? (YuGi Mon Cards (talkcontribs) 02:30, March 20, 2016 (UTC))

Not sure. Maybe, maybe not. Chaos seems to be doing some of the summaries that I've been missing in his spare time, so I really don't know when or if I'll get to them. I'm just doing episode 94's now. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 02:32, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, fun how we get used to stuff. XD It's no problem, it happens, haha. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:03, March 25, 2016 (UTC)

High Priest of Darkness VS High Priest of Shadows[edit]

Do you have Volume 6 and/or 7 of Millennium World? Akhenaden is called the "High Priest of Darkness" in Volume 5. I think that might have been changed to "High Priest of Shadows" in the later volumes. Are you able to confirm? -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:45, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

"High Priest of Darkness" is the Japanese translation. I like how the manga let's us use the original names, but I think the standard is, like with the cards, we usually use the most recent name. But at least "High Priest of Shadows" is closer to the original than "Great Shadow Magus". -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:04, April 7, 2016 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks for checking. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:15, April 16, 2016 (UTC)

General Discussion Boards in Wikis[edit]

In Discussion Boards of most wikis, whenever a new post is created, isn't everyone who previously made a post on it notified in their email? It's not just the creator of the new Board who learns of the new posts, right?Mistystar31 (talkcontribs) 18:21, April 21, 2016 (UTC)

Phantom Synchro[edit]

I'll be honest with you here, your message system is kind of screwed up. It took me so long to find a way to reply. Apparently I replied via email but it went to the wrong person(s). My name is Ace (through my gmail) and I had talked about the Phantom Synchro page. Anyway, so here's my confusion; using material from the graveyard to Synchro Summon is different than using material for a Synchro Summon that's already in the cemetery. I must've confused the two. Well here's my other question, is the same mechanism possible for a Phantom Xyz monster. Where you use material in the graveyard for an Xyz Summon, like what Vector did in episode 131. Even though he used material to summon a new Xyz monster, it's not the same. So basically all three of the monsters would have to be in the cemetery, right. Using two material to Xyz Summon a dead Xyz monster. --ChaosLordX9 (talkcontribs) 23:19, July 17, 2016 (UTC)Ace

Kite and Aster[edit]

Not everybody's perfect you know, I couldn't phrase it right but I tried my best. Nobody is forcing you to cleanup after me, I'm just doing the best I can when putting new info up on pages. DragonEmeperor (talkcontribs) 06:29, October 24, 2016 (UTC)

Someone has to, to be perfectly honest. And I know that you do, there's a reason that I don't complain more. I do acknowledge that you add a TON of info, a role that I'm sadly too busy to fill these days (that, and I only watch the subs and stay off the wiki until they're out, so you're faster than me anyways.)
To be honest, I messed up on Aster's page when I forgot to add the bit about the Doktor. Don't take my summaries personally, I've just set my preferences to remind me to add one. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 06:49, October 24, 2016 (UTC)

How do we rename pages[edit]

can you tell me how do we rename pages the dub names of season 3 arc v characters are confirmed

Mover rights[edit]

Hi Sanokal! I've conceded you mover rights. Now you can move pages! I don't think I need to expand myself too much. Just remember: in general, redirects don't need to be left, except on the article (main) namespace (there may be exceptions, though). You'll also have access to the queue when moving files (which may get tricky). Any questions you may have, throw them at me. Have fun! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:15, October 27, 2016 (UTC)

Cheers Becs! I won't be using them too much until I finally get that laptop, but it'll be handy for dub names. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 04:56, October 28, 2016 (UTC)

Happy now[edit]

There I mentioned why I reverted, I started to mention why I revert now because you, ChaosGallade, Deltaneos, and Becasita kept messaging this to me. DragonEmeperor (talkcontribs) 03:47, October 31, 2016 (UTC)

Goofs on 115[edit]

When I made that section I used goofed because I thought I saw it on another page. Went back and looked at it and turned out it was mistakes. You were right I have done goofed myself haha. Bdun4 (talkcontribs) 06:46, November 4, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry about "mistake" I saw that on a few pages such as this and the movie, so I thought that was the standard and its what I've placing like I did episode 74, but "mistakes" seems to be more common now that I went looking for it. In future I'll use "mistake". I'll change Arc-V, ep74 then. Sincerely, GoldenDragonRider (talkcontribs) 11:21, November 4, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks I was looking for the guide thing and didn't find it.

Re:Nowiki tag removals[edit]

No problem, I want to help this wiki in anyway I can.--{{SUBST:User:Lordranged7/Signature}} 22:09, November 4, 2016 (UTC)

How is that funny? There was a mistake and I fixed it

Sora and the others were no match against Zarc's might.

Others means more then one person, Kite and Kurosaki did not duel Zarc yet and "others" led to Aster being only one person. Makes no sense at all.

RE:Edit war[edit]

I try not to care too much about the anime-side of things, lest I get too distracted by multiple edit-projects. I'd ask Cheese instead. But User:DragonEmeperor seems to be at fault here for lack of communication, since he's shown that he's aware of the Talk Page function. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:26, January 16, 2017 (UTC)

I had it now[edit]

I had it with you. You shouldn't be talking about someone's grammar when you barley do the character summaries. I work on them every Sunday, what do you do nag me about my writing. DragonEmeperor (talkcontribs) 07:31, January 16, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for updating what I did on the Arc League Championship. I was in a bit of a rush, so I couldn't really go over it for corrections. Just curious on what you meant by "At least he's honest about it." --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 18:13, March 9, 2017 (UTC)

Unfortunately, that comment was me being a jackass regarding the corrections. You might have noticed the entry above this one; unfortunately I've taken potshots at Drags for his grammar before. Didn't realize that it was your first edit here, so on that note, welcome to the wiki. And props to you for putting that in there, because it completely slipped my mind. "Either it's Traditional, where there's way more overpowered stuff running around, or it's the erattad version?" Are you saying that if this is attempted in the TCG, it won't work?

Because I meant that the OTK can be done in the Traditional Format. I'm very confused right now. What are you trying to say?

Well, in that case(Certain cards being more overpowered than Chaos Emperor Dragon), what card can work as a substitute for CED? The reason why I have been talking about him these past few days is because I figured out a One Turn Kill for a Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon Deck. The reason why Chaos Emperor Dragon is involved is because of his effect.

He not only the field, but also empties both player's hands, AND deals damage for each card sent to the Graveyard, enough so that a direct attack from REDD will wipe out the rest of their Life Points. Again, for this to work, you need to activate his effect while you control Meteor Black Comet Dragon and Black Metal Dragon. MBCD's effect will let you summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon from your Graveyard, and BMD will add Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon to your hand.

With that being said, what Forbidden cards will be more helpful for this OTK?RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 11:42, June 7, 2017 (UTC)

Nothing consistent. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 03:12, June 23, 2017 (UTC)

Crush Card Virus[edit]

I can understand you undoing my edit to the Banlist webpage on the Forum, but Crush Card Virus ALMOST DEFINITELY received that erratum for the reason I listed. If it didn't receive an erratum, there would be no point in making Doom Virus Dragon a real card. Well, Doom Virus Dragon probably could have retained its anime effect, but you get the idea. RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 00:58, July 26, 2017 (UTC)

Why does every edit I write get taken off? My edit was good.--F88f (talkcontribs) 03:25, July 30, 2017 (UTC)

I told you why in the edit summary, but I'll elaborate.
"Duel" is always capitalized on this wiki, as per the Yu-Gi-Oh!:Manual of style.
Yugi KNEW about Exodia. After all, he recalls Solomon telling him about it later in the episode. What he didn't realize was that the cards were Exodia pieces.
Pegasus is NOT drinking blood (almost said "bloody" there before realizing it would be redundant). He is drinking wine. Furthermore, unlike instances where it's referred to as fruit juice, it's never differentiated in the scene in the dub. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 03:42, July 30, 2017 (UTC)

Main Phase 1[edit]

Is that true? Because I assumed that if you CAN'T end your Main Phase 1(Again, because it was skipped), you couldn't enter your Battle Phase. RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 00:17, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

Given the implication of your assumption, if skipping the Main Phase prevented entering the Battle Phase and thus the Main Phase 2, the card would just say "end the turn" for simplicity's sake. But no, you merely have to go right to the Battle Phase, which you can enter even if you can't or don't want to attack. Otherwise Grand Horn of Heaven would have seen more play. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 01:45, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

Magic Cylinder[edit]

Okay my edit to the Magic Cylinder trivia was so good. What happened to it.--F88f (talkcontribs) 23:00, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

Why are you asking me? I didn't undo it.
But in any case, it was undone because that information is covered by Magic Cylinder (anime) and Magic Cylinder (manga). Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 05:45, August 1, 2017 (UTC)

okay then--F88f (talkcontribs) 22:50, August 1, 2017 (UTC)

Which is better: Magic Cylinder or mirror force?--F88f (talkcontribs) 18:04, August 4, 2017 (UTC)

Mirror Force is better in the long run because it deals with more problems. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 20:51, August 4, 2017 (UTC)

But magic cylinder litterally makes the monster attack your opponent directly, which could win the duel--F88f (talkcontribs) 00:52, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

COULD being the key word here. Magic Cylinder can deal with a single monster. Mirror Force can stop multiple monsters. This doesn't make Magic Cylinder bad (it's definitely whacked me a few times), but Mirror Force is more consistently better. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 01:10, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

Spellcaster Deck[edit]

Well, honestly I have a good Spellcaster deck. Magic cylinder is one of the best cards I have, apart from torrential tribute. Which card should I get for my Spell caster Deck: Magic Cylinder or Dark magic curtain( I have dark Magician, Dark magician girl, and Magicians unite and stuff)--F88f (talkcontribs) 18:48, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

There a reason you can't get both? I'd go with Dark Magic Curtain just because the idea of summoning Dark Magician out of the deck is too appealing to me. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 21:43, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

Honestly I got Yugioh legendary decks 2 and I'm using Yugis deck, Plus a bunch of other cards I got such as Dark Magi con of Chaos and Sorcerer of Dark Magic, Dark Paladin and Dedication. However, I'm not sure if paying half your life points is worth it. I used to have Magic Cylinder but I traded it for Magic Formula What kind of deck do you have?--F88f (talkcontribs) 23:09, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

I don't actually have a Dark Magician deck; I just made observations. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 23:14, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

What cards should I buy? Like from a booster pack--F88f (talkcontribs) 00:26, August 6, 2017 (UTC)

The Dark Illusion includes a good portion of the new Dark Magician support, but check the Dark Magician (archetype) page infobox for a list of sets where the support cards appear. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 01:03, August 6, 2017 (UTC)

Feel free to ask me questions about your deck I love to help--F88f (talkcontribs) 18:10, August 7, 2017 (UTC)

Italian names[edit]

Unfortunately no, I haven't. I tried to check #103 (he just gave the first names) and #106 (the episode aired the day Masterchristian added the current Italian names, and nothing). It might have been in #104 or #105, but I'm in vacancy right now and my internet connection is limited, so I can't afford to watch more episodes. By the time I come back home next week those should be aired already in English, so I think you will have to wait until then. --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 11:34, August 20, 2017 (UTC)

It is correct. Zuzu never has any Pendulum Cards, and never Pendulum Summoned, and is Ray's Pendulum Incarnation. Bopdog111 (talkcontribs) 00:34, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

You have proved me wrong on that. Sorry. Bopdog111 (talkcontribs) 00:46, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

Agreement to the edit for Ironhammer the Giant[edit]

Listen I understand this is late, but about the edit you made for Ironhammer the Giant trivia: it would make perfect sense in real life because metal does come from earth after all.

Scale 36[edit]

Neither is explicitly mentioned to be a Tuner. "Miss Director" was the second named in dialogue (and actually makes the most sense when you think about it). According to Ark (on NAC) the activate from the deck is a error on Viz's part, and the original version uses from the hand. PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 16:47, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Account help[edit]

Hello. I'm Dove. I'm trying to create an account here but I can't answer the CAPTCHA question, as I searched on Google and nothing seems to find the answer. What is the name of Yugi's signature monster? (talk) 19:10, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

"Dark Magician", known as "Black Magician" in the Japanese version. Either answer should work. And I know you're frantic, but please don't message a ton of users at once like that. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 19:17, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

Your ARC-V summaries[edit]

I've discovered some ARC-V episode summaries on this site that you've written, that aren't on Yu-Gi-Oh! Fandom. If you can, please upload them under your username on that site because I've been accused of stealing when I do it. I'm "Shawn7777" on Fandom btw. SEVENS Signature cards edit[edit]

Could you explain why you keep revising my changes to the SEVENS signature cards? You claimed it was because I did'nt add any links, and when I did you still reverted the changes

If I'm making some sort of mistakes help point them out for or if I added some misinformation (I'd say the cards I added were pretty cut and dry so I don't see how) then could you at least add the correct info.

SEVENS already feels pretty underrepresented and when I'm actually trying to make some small contributions, it seems like I'm being gatekept —This unsigned comment was made by King of Devils (talkcontribs) 22:33, 23 July 2021‎ (UTC)

as the note at the top of that page says, signature cards listed on that page are only those which are stated to be one by a character or other official source, since otherwise the definition of "signature card" would be really arbitrary. although citations were given, as far as i can tell, none of them actually say the listed cards are signatures, aces or etc
with that said, that rule is really not visible enough (especially since section editing is a thing and then you can't even see the note)... • Falminar (talkcontribs) 22:38, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
Basically what was said. I should note though that no-one in the series has ever called a Maximum an ace though, so that's something of an annoyance. They just say "X's Maximum Monster", so I'm thinking about allowing that.
I find it a bit tickling that you got the feeling of underrepresentation from my editing when I write most of the SEVENS content, but eh.
I'll see if I can tack on that disclaimer to all of the sections. Also note that the other sections aside from VRAINS haven't been updated to stick to these rules because Yu-Gi-Oh! is a big franchise. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:43, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

While I agree that it may get arbitrary in some cases, I can't say I agree in other cases. I do'nt think you need an "official source" to tell you that Yujin's ace monster is Daedalus or Yuka's is Home. Just feels like you're bypassing basic common sense to adhere to a rule (no offense)

"A signature card is a card most associated with a Duelist, and tends to be used in a majority of their Duel"

Requiring an "official source" to fit this description is, to use your own words "arbitrary".

Look at it this way, would you actually claim that Kaiba's Blue-Eyes does'nt belong on this page if it were'nt mentioned on an "Official Source" despite the fact that he uses it in pretty much every duel and is the card that is associated with him in and out of universe simply because some wiki rule States so.

Or never mind that, what are those characters' signature cards then, or do they not have one cuz some wiki rule stated so.

The only one I'll concede on are the maximums, but even then. Considering how impactful and defining they are to SEVENS I still feel they should count and definitely fit the description better than some cards on here.

And no, I did'nt mean your additions when I said "underrepresented" I simply feel SEVENS in general gets pretty neglected unfortunately —This unsigned comment was made by King of Devils (talkcontribs) 00:38, 24 July 2021‎ (UTC)

You're equating apples to oranges here. Seto Kaiba is a main character. Yujin and Yuka are not, despite their references to past protagonists. For Yujin, it's noted in-universe that he literally just got his cards and his siblings note he's never acted this way before, so it's honestly not unlikely that he might discard them (he probably won't, but the possibility remains). Both the episode and promotional material have gone out of their way to state which cards are Yuro's aces, Yujin (probably due to the timing regarding his card ever being released IRL) has not, nor has Yuka. Yuka's case is likely when as opposed to if however.
If we start debating over "X is ace", then we end up with messes like we saw on the talk page, which can elaborate more than I:
"And no, I did'nt mean your additions when I said "underrepresented" I simply feel SEVENS in general gets pretty neglected unfortunately"
Don't worry, I was being cheeky here. And I agree, it's very underrated. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 02:12, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

I really do'nt think so, regardless of main or side character, it's the concept that I consider an issue, we know something, but it's considered invalid because of some specific rule.

And while I agree with some rather dubious cases, this is'nt one of them, there's a difference between a card like Ra (which only sees play when Yugi needs to show off all e God's) and cards that a character entire duels revolves around regardless of the situation revolving Yujin's deck it's obvious this is the character's deck going forward (if he has another duel that is) I mean, they're even all showcased in the opening. Like you said it's a when/if scenario, which is pretty much my whole issue, it is what it is, but it's apparently not valid to be added unless this specific rule is met despite the fact that literally no info is actually being changed.

Anyway, keep up the good work. —This unsigned comment was made by King of Devils (talkcontribs) 02:43, 24 July 2021‎‎ (UTC)

I don't like the current definition for "signature cards", as it is too broad a term, relying on people's opinions for entry additions (even if some are "common sense" additions). These sorts of opinionated things can go on the characters' Deck pages and/or the card trivia pages. Preferably this page would be remodeled into an "ace card" page. I don't see myself doing these changes though, or these changes being done any time soon.
And yes, please use your 4 tildes (~) as a signature for your posts. I'm not going to insert your signatures again. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:53, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Featured Duels notes[edit]

I know you prefer keeping the featured duels consistently with your new thing, but there are a few things I want to point out that you will keep in mind for later. Normally, when a monster's ATK, DEF, Level, Rank, or Pendulum Scale is altered, I usually would mention that stat in the parenthesis. While it may seem redundant to you if a monster's current ATK is changed to its original ATK, it's still something that I would mention because it keeps consistency with stat alterations that occur in duels. I know you want to mention the entire cost and activation requirements for cards and I respect that. Bare in mind that some cards have more than one effect and normally I mention which effect if a card has more than one. This is the case, with "Kuribabylon" in episode 156 of Yu-Gi-Oh! where two of its effect were activated (its first and third effect). Typically I mention the full effect of a card if it's activated the first time. If that effect is used more than once, I just mention it activates, but I will still mention the targets or cards used for the cost or effect of cards and the LP or stats that it alters. I will however mention if a monster's battle position regardless if it was done manually or with a card effect.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 06:56, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

Featured duel request[edit]

When you can, please do the featured duels of episodes 30, 31, 36, 37, 40, 41, 43, and 44 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's as you skipped when doing the featured duels in episodes in between those episodes.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 10:09, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

I've been doing the episodes with Dark Synchro Monsters and/or "Earthbound Immortals". I won't say I won't do them, it'll just be lower-priority. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 07:07, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Error on Kazuki Takahashi's part on Crumbling/Shattered Axe in the manga[edit]

Have you found an actual interview it's confirmed that Takahashi made a mistake/error for Shattered Axe to affect Obelisk in the manga? =loeu= (talkcontribs) 17:54, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

The only corroboration I know of regarding that is that Kaiba claims most (or possibly all, I forget the exact text) Trap Cards are useless against the Gods. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 06:05, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
The Shattered Axe part can be lumped together with Spellbinding Circle and Spellbinding Illusion part affecting them, as the latter 2 are, Trap Cards.
At first glance this can mean Kaiba's statement is contradicted (unless 'most' Trap cards refer to Trap Cards with magical effect as few exceptions) or only refer to effects that remove them from your field (as Mirror Force was shown in the background, but this'd not distinguish Spell/Traps at the first place).
But it's not as for the latter there's the DSoD part against a continuous negate in Cubic Mandala (similar too to how they fare against Virus cards in R, in this case reducing and preventing ATK effect) and Traps with magical effects (as per manga dividing attacks/effects in physical/magical) also can be disabled with De-Spell, so it seems that while they're Traps, their activations/effects work like Spell cards; they're Spells in Trap clothing (likely made as Trap so it can be Set along with other Spell due to Super Expert Rules), and Takahashi only addressed the Shattered Axe part which seems he distinguishes regular Traps from them. =loeu= (talkcontribs) 14:35, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
throws up hands This is why I prefer VIZ's explanation. Nice and clean.
"Have you found an actual interview it's confirmed that Takahashi made a mistake/error for Shattered Axe to affect Obelisk in the manga?" - I'm confused as to where this statement is coming from (apologies for the delay.
