"Alsei, the Sylvan High Protector":
  • This card would work in a "Lightsworn" Deck by overlaying two "Judgment Dragons" (in case something interferes with their effects, or prevents them from attacking). Also, its effect can be used alongside the milling effects of the "Lightsworns".
  • By declaring the name of a card that you don't use in your Deck, you can guarantee the activation of its effect to return a card to the deck.
  • You can use "Mount Sylvania" to place a "Sylvan" on the top of your Deck, then declare a wrong name on purpose to activate both effects, "Alsei, the Sylvan High Protector" can be activated and the the milled "Sylvan" monster too, possibly granting field advantage and control over the opponent's Deck.
  • The effect that detaches a material from this card can be activated in either players turn except during Attack Declaration, Battle Step or Damage Step.
  • You can combine this card with "Plaguespreader Zombie" to re-add the card you sent to the top of your Deck back to your hand.
  • Copy Plant with Sylvan Hermitree easily summons this; just because Copy Plant is a tuner, doesn't mean you always need to synchro summon.
