- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Last Will", "Witch of the Black Forest", and "Mystic Tomato".
- Magical Merchant or Painful Choice can be used to send a large amount of monsters to the Graveyard. After that, Chaos Necromancer can be salvaged from the Graveyard by the effect of Recurring Nightmare.
- You can use Opti-Camouflage Armor to make it able to attack your opponent's Life Points directly.
- One deck strategy is to use a large, possibly overloaded deck filled with nothing but searcher monsters and this card. This card will power up for every one of your searchers destroyed, and you can use Mystic Tomato to summon it once the graveyard is sufficiently flooded.
- This card can be used in conjunction with "Dark Crusader", simply send a vast amount of DARK monsters to the graveyard, powering up Dark Crusader. If it should be destroyed, Chaos Necromancer can serve as a back up, gaining the ATK of whatever monsters were discarded for Dark Crusader's effect.
- "Chaos Necromancer" works exceptionally well in a Lightsworn Deck, given that it is used properly.
- Imperial Iron Wall works exceptionally well with this card.
