- This card can be searched via "Witch of the Black Forest" and "Magician's Circle".
- "Toon Table of Contents" works well with this card.
- Use "Foolish Burial" to drop strong Spellcasters into the Graveyard for later revival through this card.
- Use two Spell Counters from this card to Special Summon "Apprentice Magician". Her effect gives "Magical Exemplar" another Spell Counter. Then you can use your Normal Summon for the turn to Tribute "Apprentice Magician", or Tribute her using "Magical Dimension" to summon an even stronger Spellcaster and destroy an opposing monster.
- This card gains Spell Counters much more quickly than any other card, making it perfect card to use for "Mega Ton Magical Cannon".
- After playing a Spell Card you can activate "Miracle Restoring" to Special Summon either Dark Magician or Buster Blader from your Graveyard.
- You can activate "Foolish Burial" to send "Frequency Magician" or "Night's End Sorcerer" to the Graveyard, then revive it with "Magical Exemplar" and then summon a level 6 synchro monster like "Goyo Guardian" or "Tempest Magician.
- After you activate a Spell Card you can easily use "Anti-Spell".
- You can use "Pitch-Black Power Stone" to easily get Spell Counters on "Magical Exemplar".
