- This card can be searched by "Archfiend Palabyrinth", "Archfiend Heiress", "Pandemonium", "Skilled Red Magician", "Gazelle the King of Mythical Claws", "Sky Scourge Cidhels", "Lucent, Netherlord of Dark World", "Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy", "Chaos Zone", "Imperial Princess Quinquery", "Rescue Ferret", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- Attack with this monster, then Tribute it to activate "Deck Devastation Virus", "Grinning Grave Virus" or "Mystik Wok".
- Use "Creature Swap" to give control of this card to the opponent while taking one of their monsters. "Mist Archfiend" will still destroy itself during the End Phase and inflict 1000 damage to its controller, which is now your opponent.
- "Skill Drain" and "Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror" can be used to negate this card's self-destruction effect and the effects of many other monsters while still allowing "Mist Archfiend" to be Normal Summoned without Tributes.
