- This card can be searched by "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Transmodify", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Painful Escape", "Ties of the Brethren", "Sangan", "Rescue Ferret", "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk", Gemini Soldier", "Woodland Archer", "Gemini Ablation", "Chemicritter Carbo Crab", "Dark General Freed", "Creeping Darkness", "Mystic Tomato", "Chaos Zone", "Witch of the Black Forest" and "Lucent, Netherlord of Dark World".
- Use the effect of "Shadow Delver" to choose a monsters that triggers effects upon damaging the opponent. Cards that this works well with include, but are not limited to, "Don Zaloog" or "Spirit Reaper".
- Since this card starts out as a Normal monster, you can Special Summon it using "Silent Doom", "Swing of Memories", "Soul Resurrection" or "Birthright".
- Use "Synchro Gift" on a powerful Synchro Monster like "Red Nova Dragon" to grant a Level 4 DARK Monster a huge ATK boost, then use it to direct attack.
- Using this card's effect on a highly boosted "Prometheus, King of the Shadows", "Dark Crusader" or "King of the Skull Servants" can end up in a OTK.
- This card can combo with "Demotion", "Cost Down" or "Level Retuner" in combination with higher Level DARK monsters.
- This card can allow cards such as "Mataza the Zapper" or monsters equipped with "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce" to maximize their effects.
- Use a "DNA Transplant" or "Scroll of Bewitchment" to turn monsters into the proper attribute.
- This card, if used properly, would work very well in a "Blackwing" Deck.
- By combining this card with a Level 4 or lower "Blackwing" monster and "Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn", you can deal heaps of damage, especially if you have many "Blackwing" monsters on the field at the time.
