Eliminators

Eliminators, known as Player Killers in the manga and Japanese version, are duelists employed by Maximillion Pegasus for the Duelist Kingdom tournament. Their role in the tournament is to challenge the contestants to a Duel and if the Eliminator wins, they take the Star Chips the contestant had wagered. Like in a normal Duel, if the duelist bets all of his or her Star Chips and lost, that will disqualify the duelist from the tournament.

Pegasus hired the Eliminators due to only four finalists may reach the Pegasus Castle, but there are eighty Star Chips (ten is required to enter the castle), in which the Eliminators' duties is to retrieve the extra forty to ensure no extra contestants can enter. If possible, the Eliminators can even eliminate every the contestants altogether, so no champion would arise, and Pegasus does not have to pay the prize money at the very least.
