::Sorry about all this. I won't be offended if you want to delete my stuff. I didn't realize it was against any policies. --Crash815 01:54, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 01:54, 24 December 2010

User pages are intended as a place for editors to post information about themselves and to help aid their work on this site. It's not intended to be free webspace for people to post whatever they want. I don't mind people using for some stuff unrelated to the wiki itself, especially if they are contributing to the site in other ways. I don't want to sound mean, but I think Crash815 might be going too far.

Crash815 over 200 sub user pages for fanfiction, over 1600 user pages edits and only 1 edit to any other namespace. That's over 99.9% user page edits. It's kind of clogging the recent changes. I know you can hide them by hiding all minor edits or hiding the user namespace, but it is extra effort and hides other edits that you might want to see. It seems to be misuse of free space. I think it would be better if this content was posted on a Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfic wiki or a wiki of its own.

I'm posting to ask if other people think this is inappropriate use of user pages and should we consider deleting them, giving time for them to be saved or exported elsewhere. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:32, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

I think I gotta agree with you, Neos... All of his pages are just fill with nothing but words, no links to the "duels" of what he should to talk about. Sure, I have post up mine, but I also spend part of my time around the site, to keep it back to the original paces. He just continue to fill up the "recent actions" that I am watching on my side of this site. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 01:37, December 23, 2010 (UTC)
I agree with both of you, this is not a fan wiki, this is a wiki describing all official aspects of Yu-Gi-Oh! (excluding common terms to describe things), along with a community area. And it seems like he already has a website, so...that will be a good 200 pages to be deleted...BassNettoHikari2...Talk to me... 05:48, December 23, 2010 (UTC)
I say delete them, it doesn't sound like he's here to contribute. Personal pages in userspace can be fine as long as the user is genuinely contributing (even if they're full of uninteresting stuff nobody ever looks at, like mine are ;) ), but if not, we shouldn't hesitate to delete the userspace content (preferably while making it clear that the pages can be undeleted if the user wants to copy the information). ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 01:04, December 24, 2010 (UTC)
