So this is my deck that I currently have in real life. Although, due to a current life situation, I'm not able to go anywhere to play with anyone, so I haven't been able to test it out against other humans. u . u

So I have been playing on Tag Force 5, since all the cards are out. :O

Now, I'd like to say that the deck runs well... but as some of you will know, the A.I. in the game is dumb as hell. That, and of course any deck's creator is gonna be at least somewhat biased towards her own deck. XD

So at the very least, I think I can say it doesn't run *poorly*. And I also need to make a side deck, as I haven't made one yet. So I suppose I'd like to ask for any opinions or thoughts towards my deck and a side deck. :3

Specifically I have one idea. I was thinking about removing *something* for one Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, and on that note, maybe one or two regular monsters for a Blizzard Dragon or two. I was thinking even possibly even a Mist Wurm as well, but I wanted to focus more on getting the Gungnir in, being as it matches the deck theme.

Perhaps I should remove one Instant Fusion and one Darkfire Dragon for Gungnir and maybe something else? I mean, Instant Fusion rocks for the free dragon... and I don't think even two is too much, but I'm not sure... :x

Any thoughts, opinions, or ideas from you seasoned veterans would be greatly appreciated! ^ ^

Thanks! :D Koyori (talkcontribs) 05:20, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

What's Burial from a Different Dimension for? Is it just to return the removed dragon to be resummoned by Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon? I think its nice combo, but it can only happen once right? I suggest having foolish burial instead, as you can send Dandylion (to be summoned back with Debris Dragon for a quick synchro or just use its tokens with Delta Flyer for a lv 5 or 6 synchro monster) or send Red-Eyes Wyvern. As for the side deck, you can have Effect Veiler, Volcanic Queen, D.D. Crow and such. I'm sorry if this doesn't help, as I don't have that much experience with a dragon based deck. By the way, are you a female duelist? You posted 'Now, I'd like to say that the deck runs well... but as some of you will know, the A.I. in the game is dumb as hell. That, and of course any deck's creator is gonna be at least somewhat biased towards her own deck. XD'. I've never seen a female duelist before and I'm happy that this card game reaches girls too!----

Yeah, stuff Red-Eyes removes, not to mention putting back Wyverns after they used their effect to revive REDMD. It can also put back Zombie Carrier if needed, but Foolish Burial does sound really nice too... Hmm... The thing is, Future Fusion can already dump five dragons on its own, so even though sending Dandylion could be nice... Hmm... I guess I should try it and see how it works.

And yeah, I'm a girl, even though "there are no girls on the internet". XD

I know it doesn't really make a difference stating it, but it just feels awkward to be referred to as "he", which is the case if I don't say anything. Most people wouldn't know that 'Koyori' is a female name. XD

Ahem, but uh, yeah, I was doing some thinking for the side deck, and I was thinking of a few cards, but I dunno how many I should be running of them. Like I was thinking Mind Crushx2, Cyber Dragonx2, Yamata Dragonx1, Chimeratech Fortress Dragonx1, Ancient Fairy Dragonx1, and Koa'ki Meiru Dragox2. But not sure on the rest, though I have some thoughts.

I still really wanna try to fit Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and two Blizzard Dragon, but I really can't, for the life of me, decide what to remove. :/ Koyori (talkcontribs) 10:33, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

What if you remove the Iron Chain Dragon for Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and 1 Delta Flyer and 1 Mystical Space Typhoon for 2 Blizzard Dragons? I think that would make nice replacements. By the way, isn't Mind Crush limited?----

Thank you for your help, but, please sign your edits. ^ ^;

And, oh my! I had completely forgotten that Mind Crush is limited to one. I guess it's not as bad then that the place I ordered only had one left. XD

You'd think the Chain Dragon would be a quick choice, but it's the only level 6 synchro I have. And for a quick beatstick, he's not too bad... But I suppose it's better to get rid of Chain Dragon rather than a Five God Dragon. I mean, do you think I should run two F.G.D.s? I'm also pondering about Dragon's Mirror. If I end up deciding on one F.G.D., should I keep Dragon's Mirror?

Currently, I'm thinking about removing Dragon Ice and one Masked Dragon for the two Blizzard Dragons. I really think I'd like to keep both the Cyclones, they're just *so* damn useful. Especially with Heavy Storm being gone this season. Delta Flyer is also so good, I don't know if I want to drop to two. I mean, it counts as a level 3 AND level 4 tuner. Such a smexy effect. I think Masked Dragon going to one is fine. I mean, it's not *that* essential, and hell, maybe I'll even replace it with a Dread Dragon.

Should I really keep two Black Rose Dragons? I mean, it is a fantastic card, and an instant synchro/field wiper with Debris Dragon... Well first off, should I keep two Five-Gods? If not, I'm just gonna remove one for Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. If I really should keep both, then I guess I really have to choose between Explode Wing Dragon, one Black Rose Dragon, or Chain Dragon... Yeah, first thing I need to decide is if I want to have one or two Five-Gods. Koyori (talkcontribs) 12:16, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Silly edit conflicts...Mind Crush is indeed limited, The deck looks nice, but I'm wondering how well the totems work for you, when you have non-dragons in the deck, also, as you're running non-dragons anyway, perhaps Treeborn Frog? Also!, perhaps Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, as you have cards you want in grave, and it has a good effect, finally, it might be an idea to swap 1 of the bribes for a Solemn Judgment as it's limited for a reason, hope that's helpfull-Resk-12:34, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

If you're going to have Totem Dragon in this deck, I recommend having at least 1 Light and Darkness Dragon or White Night Dragon. Both are nice choices, they can protect themselves and have fairly high atk. Also, if you're want cards in the graveyard like Red-Eyes Wyvern, Dandylion, Plaguespreader Zombie and Totem Dragon, you should consider Morphing Jar (it saved me many times before). It gives you a new hand, yeah.. and you might get your Future Fusion faster. How do I sign my edits anyway? I'm actually new to this posting thing so can you help me with those terms?----

When you're done writing something, you type four tilds. You should register an account, so when you sign with four tilds, it puts your account name. If you don't want to register an account, when you type four tilds, it will say your IP address instead. So you see where I put "----" after the last thing you wrote three times? Put four tilds instead. :3

And the Totem Dragons seem to work well, there are only three non-dragons, after all. Both Dandylions can be removed from play with Black Rose Dragon's secondary effect, and the Zombie Carrier can remove itself through its own effect. I mean, I ended up putting Zombie Carrier in -because- of its easy removability. That and I wanted to be able to get out my smexy Infernity Death Dragon. ;p

I have a huge pile of cards that are meant to be a potential side deck and main deck swapper. Among the cards are two Light and Darkness Dragons and two Dragunity Arms Laevateins. I had thought of running one LaDD and two Laevateins, to do that (near) infinite block, but I felt Material Dragon would be simpler. I'm also thinking about running Yamata Dragon. Perhaps over one of the Materials?

Morphing Jar is an idea. But before that, I'd still like to get an opinion on having two Five-Gods. And I still can't decide on what to remove for Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. Right now on the Tag Force 5, I took out Explode Wing Dragon, but I think I might want to keep that one. It's fairly strong. :o I mean... right now, my duplicates in my extra deck are as follows: Stardust Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, Five God Dragon, and Darkfire Dragon. More than likely, one of these four are gonna go. Koyori (talkcontribs) 13:30, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Having 2 FGDs is fine I guess, you have a chance to have 2 on the field with Future Fusion and Dragon's Mirror, just to avoid having dragon's mirror as a dead card. Is it really necessary to have 2 Stardust Dragons? You can protect your monsters with your counters as well as Starlight Road right? Or is it because you have Starlight Road that you need to have 2 stardusts? It might be a life saver, so I'm not sure if you really need to remove 1 stardust. I think its because you have Instant Fusion clouding your judgement right? If you're running 2 copies you need to have the appropriate monster in the extra deck so its killing your space. By the way, have got any idea on what to remove for Blizzard Dragon?110.137.26.54 (talk) 14:08, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

As of right now, I replaced the Stardust Dragon with the Chain Dragon. And yeah, Starlight Road is making me want to run a second Stardust. Here are my choices:
One Five God Dragon, I'll lose the Dragon's Mirror, and run a second Foolish Burial.
One Darkfire Dragon, I'll lose one Instant Fusion, and run a second Foolish Burial.
One Stardust Dragon, I'll keep one Dragon's Mirror, one Instant Fusion, and one Foolish Burial.

If you hadn't noticed, I've absolutely fallen in love with that delicious "Orokana Maisou". Being able to not only instant Black Rose the field, but instant Trish... *drools*. Should I run two, though? Either way, those three seem like the best options. I just can't decide if like, I want to run the second Five God, not to try to get both out at once, but for a quick Five God through the mirror. Or if I *really* need a second Instant Fusion. I mean, having a free level 4 dragon that I can do whatever I want with, at only the cost of 1000lp is amazing... but do I *really* need two? And finally, I could just stick with one Stardust, and keep one mirror, two fusions, and one burial.

So I guess if I could get an opinion on these three choices?

Okay. So the way it is now is pretty good. I'm still testing things out, and I don't have a "complete" Side Deck yet, but how it is up there is how I currently have my Main Deck.
I'm fine with the way the Extra Deck is; but I'm thinking if I might put the second Stardust Dragon in place of the Infernity Death Dragon. If I do that, I might as well take out the Zombie Carrier, to lose some more of the non-dragon...

I'm trying to make this deck the best I can make it... but I also don't want to stretch it too thin... :x

Thank you very much, to everyone who is responding and helping me. It really means a lot. ^ ^ Koyori (talkcontribs) 15:09, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

You don't have Totem Dragon anymore tight? So, its now okay to have non dragons somewhere in the main or extra deck, like removing chain dragon for your usual non dragon synchros, but if you think your deck is good enough then there's no need to do change anything anymore. What's "orokana maisou" anyway? The only things I can think of that would help in summoning BRD or Trishula is Dandylion or Debris Dragon and they're OCG names are not "orokana maisou".--110.137.26.54 (talk) 07:45, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, it's Foolish Burial XD. And I still *have* the Totem Dragons... I'm just sampling without them. I mean, it's a fantastic monster, what with a (fairly easy), free summon; and whenever I think about not using them, I think about how much of a waste it is... I mean, I have the damn psp game. I should really test out more things. I think I'm the type that gets into the habit of something working well, or feeling right, and I don't branch out as much as I should to test different things...

And yeah, very thanks for the Foolish Burial suggestion. I am *loving* that card. And yeah, if it hasn't been made clear yet, I am a total OCG duelist. My entire deck is japanese. I often have to struggle with myself just to use some of the TCG names. XD

But yeah, as I always say, thank you very much, not only for the help, but it's also fun discussing Duel Monsters. :D

As much as the deck seems to be running fairly well, I *really* want this thing to be as close to "S-class" as I can get it, so I'll probably try a lot more tweaking around. :3 Koyori (talkcontribs) 08:44, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

I've got a link for one of the high-ranking shonen-jump dragon decks, (from previous format) if you want a look- http://www.konami.com/yugioh/blog/?p=1721 -Resk (talkcontribs) 21:12, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Relatedly, click here for a Dragon deck that actually made top 32 at the most recent YCS. It's quite a ways down, though. Runer5h (talkcontribs) 21:24, October 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

I'm glad I can be of some help, even when I'm not that pro of a duelist. Good luck 'tweaking'!--110.137.26.54 (talk) 11:21, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

The Trouble with Morphing Jar is the same as that of Dandylion, it stops Totem Dragon, and unlike dandy, you can't remove it, Also, you may want a Genesis Dragon, to add dragons from grave to hand (Yamata, REDMD) etc, just don't use the 2nd effect-213.123.215.233 (talk) 11:08, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hello from another female duelist, although I'm likely old enought to be your mom. I love dragons too, and have been tweaking a deck of my own. I'm not sure if you're running OCG or TCG cards, but if you can find Dragon Canyon, try to get this into your deck. It acts like a Foolish Burial for Dragons. Can't wait for that to come out in TCG. Maybe consider Yamata Dragon instead of Morphing Jar? It's a little harder to get out and control, but it keeps your deck entirely dragon.Kungfu-mama(talk) 22:35, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

Heya, that's neat. Yay for girl duelists! :3

Yesh, I'm running 100% OCG. And yes, I have a couple of Dragon Canyons. But I really don't like it too much. The discard just to dump one dragon from my deck feels a little un-worthwhile. Foolish Burial may only hit one card, but it can send a Dandylion or Zombie Carrier if needed. And if I have a Debris Dragon in my hand when I send Dandy, that's a free Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. And Future Fusion works well enough for the other dumping.

Yeah, Yamata Dragon is already in there. I lurve it. :3
And I decided to re-put Zombie Carrier over Morphing Jar. Could always use more tuners. Plus I don't have any level 2 tuners. AND as icing on the cake, Debris Dragon can fetch out Zombie Carrier. :D

I've read a bunch of the other high level dragon decks, and I know a lot of people vouch for Genesis Dragon; but I honestly think it's too slow. And that horrid attack and defense power... Other than Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, the only dragon I can't revive with REDMD's effect, is Yamata Dragon. And even then, I have Monster Reborn, Call of the Haunted, and Red-Eyes Wyvern for Red Eyes-chan. And as much as Yamata-chan can help a *lot*, it's more of an "if it comes, it comes" situation.

My concern now, other than the Side Deck, is the Extra Deck again. Now that I put Zombie Carrier back in, I can run Infernity Death Dragon again. But I don't know what to remove for it. :/

And of course, thank you everyone for all the help. It makes me very happy. ^ ^ Koyori (talkcontribs) 14:29, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
