Traditional format

If I activated sword of reveling light and it flips my opponent's fiber jar, then I chain book of moon to the effect of fiber jar, would book of moon be return to the deck, even if book of moon is only sent to the graveyard after fiber jar resolve?96.44.92.186 (talk) 02:43, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

You said it yourself; all activated Spell and Trap Cards in a Chain (except the Continuous ones) are sent to the Graveyard after the last effect in the Chain they are in resolves. Thus, "Book of Moon" will remain on the field until "Fiber Jar" shuffles all cards from the Graveyard into the Decks, after which "Book of Moon" will be sent to the Graveyard. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 02:48, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

I read Returning activated cards, in does not mention anything about the exception to that rules: I read in the ruling that if fiber jar is destroy by battle it will return itself to the deck, even if he would only be sent to graveyard after it's effect resolve.

So instead if my opponent's flip summoned fiber jar, and I chain book of moon, book of moon would return to the deck when fiber jar resolve, unless the ruling above is old and now inccorrect, and if their is a new rulling that stated they are no exception to the "Return Activated Cards" rules.

Their are other cards like that that follow this exception, for example: if cyber jar flip effect activated, and cyber jar would be destroy by battle, cyber jar is destroy by it's own effect even though he would have been sent to the graveyard after it's effect resolve. Unlike "man eater bug" does not follow the exception, example:

My opponent only has a face-down man eater bug, and I only have obelisk the tormantor, I attack face-down man eater bug with obelisk the tormantor, man eater bug cannot target obelisk the tormantor, but it cannot also target itself because he is already destroy by battle.96.44.92.186 (talk) 20:07, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

If the ruling of "Fiber Jar" that return itself to the deck even when he's destroy by battle is still correct, it would not make any sense, or be fair that fiber jar does not include the same exception to an activated book of moon when fiber jar is flip summoned.96.44.92.186 (talk) 20:05, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

Given the context that it is ruled "Fiber Jar" shuffles itself into the Deck even if it's destroyed by battle (which may be because it shuffles from the Graveyard and the Deck), it is plausible to think that "Book of Moon" might be shuffled into the Deck too. However, even if the UDE ruling is still valid, you can't really apply the same to "Book of Moon" without another ruling. Better yet, it would be best for you to e-mail Konami asking whether or not "Fiber Jar" shuffles itself into the Deck if destroyed by battle (and based on that answer, whether or not a "Book of Moon" Chained to "Fiber Jar" shuffles itself into the Deck as well). You can e-mail them at [email protected], but I wouldn't get your hopes up, since "Fiber Jar" is Forbidden and Konami doesn't have much incentive to make rulings on Forbidden cards (despite Traditional formats). --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 22:33, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

I think we can safely go with the well known game mechanics and say that it cannot return itself when destroyed, or return Book of Moon. When attacked, Fiber Jar activates its effect while it is still on the field, so the graveyard thing is out of the question. Then what happen if cyber jar flip effect activated and it is destroy by battle, does that means if the player that control cyber jar picks up 5 level 4 monster, 4 of those monsters goes to the field, and the fifth one goes to the graveyard?96.44.92.186 (talk) 21:44, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Seemed so - just like the situation with "Dark World" full up in the hand and "Morphing Jar" on the field, flipped to face-up; you only have to Special Summon 4 of them while discarded the fifth. --iFredCat 21:58, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

The real way to know for sure how it behave is to look at the most updated video game that still include fiber jar, and cyber jar, and if this video games does not come with traditional format, or unlimited format, or a special rules that includes, traditional format, or unlimited format, if it does not a hacking device, or hacking software might be needed.96.44.92.186 (talk) 22:38, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
