* But doesn't the word "and" in the lore of Hazy Flame Griffin would state that both conditions have to meet in order to activate its effect?Jaggo 80 (talk • contribs) 15:46, January 22, 2013 (UTC)

Revision as of 15:46, 22 January 2013

"If your opponent controls a monster, and all the monsters (if any) on your side of the field and in your Graveyard are FIRE (and only FIRE), you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects."

Does this mean you have to have a Fire type in your grave or Field to get this special summon? Can you get the special summon if your opponent controls a monster but you have an empty grave and field?

Same rules as "The Immortal Bushi", if it's only monster in the Graveyard then it can be Special Summoned. But this card required at least 1 FIRE monster on the field and 1 FIRE monster in the Graveyard to triggering it. Kuriboh can prove me wrong if I detected on the wrong side. --iFredCat 00:39, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
Erm, yeah, you are wrong. "...and all the monsters (if any) on your side of the field and in your Graveyard are FIRE (and only FIRE)..." This means that you can Special Summon it from your hand while your opponent controls a monster and you control none (like "Cyber Dragon").
However, if there is a monster(s) on your side of the field and/or Graveyard, all of those monsters must be FIRE in order for you to Special Summon it. (I appreciate the recommendation Fred, but Falzar is the best here regarding rulings...) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:02, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
