Overall, I am really happy with this deck, though I'm trying to get another Lava Golem, Fortress Warrior, and Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. I can generally win about three out of four matches in tournaments using this deck, but I really need help on selecting cards for the side deck, and deciding on a permanent deck build because I keep on changing my mind about what I want to run in the deck, especially regarding the number of clock towers I want in it.

The main methods of winning with this deck is to either stall long enough with dark door or gravity bind and its associated cards for final countdown to reach 20 or to use those stalling methods to protect my monsters and burn away the opponent's lifepoints with lava golem or raging flame sprite.

Golden Ladybug really helps in maintaining lifepoint advantage, and Patrician can switch the attack targets to marshmallon or dark resonator/fortress warrior with dark door to create an attack block. Vanity's Fiend is used to prevent synchro summonings and blackwings from swarming when I don't have lava golems in my hand, and solemn judgment and judgment of anubis are used to counter heavy storm or MST.--75.63.63.23 22:56, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

you have a good deck so far but some of the stall cards i would advise are Swarm of Scarabs, Swarm of Locusts and Stealth Bird. i would also reccomend you use A Feint Plan to stop opponents attacking your face down monsters. i would also recommend you use a card called Swords of Concealing Light to stop your opponents monsters being in attack mode and attacking. Finaaly one of the beat staller cards i can advise is Ordeal of a Traveler. Hope all this helps Yugimuto12 17:43, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

nice deck why not throw in some Threatening Roar's? to stop the opponents battle phase or maybe Battle Fader's? just in case he wipes your field? Yosoyeltupapi 12:53, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

I would like to add Threatening Roar's and maybe a swords of concealing light in, but I can't find room to add them. I'm definitely going to try to get at least one Battle Fader and Starlight Road to add in. As for Swarm of Scarabs/Locusts and Stealth Bird, I'll try using one Swarm of Scarabs, but I don't think Stealth Bird is good at all because it only works when it's flip summoned and is very vulnerable unless if I have very good control of the field. I don't like using Ordeal of a Traveler either because I tend to always have Golden Ladybug in my hand. 76.203.7.215 03:45, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

If you are running Dark Resonator, then why not add an Extra Deck? 74.104.189.150 05:46, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

Threatening roar and waboku's will basicly give you a free turn. 92.0.17.225 10:34, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

Here's a deck update. I do run a few synchros, but I usually keep Dark Resonator on the field to maintain an attack lockdown. Once I get a Starlight Road, Stardust Dragon will see a lot more play. I still can't find room to add Threatening Roar's in this deck. 209.175.13.46 19:35, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

I like the way you set up the deck. But the problem i see, is that with vanity's fiend, it stops both players from special summoning. Try using Vanity's ruler. It is a light fairy with 2500 ATK and only your opponent can't special summon. If you're using an extra deck, Vanity's fiend can mess up not just your opponents plans, but yours as well. mr.stardust 14:12, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Vanity's Ruler is indeed better, but it is harder to summon because it requires two tributes. Vanity's Fiend tends to affect my opponent much more than me anyways because I don't rely on synchro summoning and special summoning in general. 209.175.13.46 14:43, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

I am going to be getting a third lava golem and starlight road pretty soon, so should I take away vanity's fiend and side deck tuner's scheme to make room for them? 66.240.56.238 14:14, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
