Pendulum Effects (ペンデュラム効（こう）果（か） (Ｐ（ペンデュラム）効（こう）果（か） in the card text) Pendyuramu Kōka) are a new feature unique to Pendulum Monsters. This kind of effect is written in small typesetting in a partially transparent box, which is right above the monster's lore box and between the Pendulum Scales. These effects are applied while the Pendulum Monster is active on the field at a Pendulum Zone as a Spell Card. Having Pendulum Effects is not essential for Pendulum Monsters, for some of them do not have any, thus the box is left empty. Note that even Normal Pendulum Monsters with no Monster Effects at all can have Pendulum Effects.
