The Ancient Treasure is a series of cards used by Tenzen Yanagi and Yusei Fudo briefly in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime. The series consists of Rock monsters with 0 ATK that inflicts effect damage to its owner, while some of the associated Spells (except for "Curse Reflection Doll" and "Triangle O") feature negative effects (e.g. paying Life Points, discarding, etc.).

The Ancient Treasures are a series of cards used by Tenzen Yanagi, as well as Yusei Fudo briefly, in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime. According to the anime, it is possible that they are illegal, but currently that is not a problem. This series focuses on Rock-Type monsters with 0 ATK to do its bidding, and nearly all of the cards have a negative effect (paying LP, discarding, etc.). These cards work well with "Curse Reflection Doll" and "Triangle O" to deflect the negative effects, however. All monsters of this series are Level 1 EARTH, except for the Level 3 "Ashoka Pillar" and the WATER "Crystal Skull". They also all have 0 DEF, except for the 2200 DEF "Ashoka Pillar".

These cards are based on ancient objects from various locales around the world. Its theme would later be reused in the form of the "Chronomaly" archetype by Trey in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL (which is acknowledged in ZEXAL, where these cards appear in the background while dialogue explains the inspiration behind the "Chronomalies").

Playing style
The main focus of the series is to swarm the field with Rock monsters and inflict massive effect damage to the opponent. This can be quickly done utilizing the effects of "Crystal Skull", "Ashoka Pillar", and "Cabrera Stone" to quickly Summon them in order to use "Triangle O" and inflict massive effect damage to the opponent. The Ancient Treasure monsters can also change themselves into Defense Position, preventing the player from taking battle damage.

The main support for this series revolves around support for Rock monsters and monsters with 0 ATK. "Stonehenge" can be used to Special Summon a monster with 0 ATK from the Graveyard in Attack Position, which works in conjunction with the defensive effects of the Ancient Treasure monsters. "Totem Pole" can further enhance these defensive effects by preventing 0 ATK Rock monsters from being affected by an opponent's card effects, in addition to preventing one attack for up to three times. "Piri Reis Map" can search for monsters with 0 ATK from the Deck.

The final effect of "Totem Pole" can also double any effect damage, which can be utilized with cards such as "Triangle O". This requirement can be met quicker by sending the player's cards from the Deck to the Graveyard using cards such as "Catapult Zone", "Foolish Burial", "Foolish Burial Goods", "Miracle Rupture", or "Rock Bombardment".

However, this series features a number of negative drawbacks, the most prominent drawback including the Ancient Treasure monsters inflicting effect damage to their own controller. "Crystal Skull" can inflict damage to the player upon being Summoned, while "Ashoka Pillar" and "Cabrera Stone" inflicts damage to the player when they are destroyed. The only cards capable of redirecting the monster' self-damaging effects are "Curse Reflection Doll" and "Triangle O". In addition, the player must have "Crystal Skull", "Ashoka Pillar", and "Cabrera Stone" on their field to use "Triangle O". If any of those monsters are destroyed, the player would have to figure out a way Summon one of the required monsters to activate "Triangle O".
