- This card appears occasionaly in the Toei anime. Both Yugi and Ridley Sheldon have one.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 8: "Everything's Relative", Ridley Sheldon's nurse puppet used this monster to battle Yugi Muto's "Rock-Gun", causing both monsters to be destroyed. The duel was interrupted part-way through, and the episode showed a variety of cards used by both players. In the background, the monster "Ghost" was shown fighting a silhouette that resembled "Dark Magician"
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 15: "Winning Through Intimidation", Yugi Mutou was having a friendly duel with his grandfather Sugoroku. In the last turn of the duel the field. Sugoroku have this card in defense position, along with Skull Servant in attack position. Sugoroku then summoned "Blackland Fire Dragon" in Attack position. But Yugi was distracted, and jump quickly to take a Risa Kageyama's telephone call. The duel ends without a winner.
- Later, in the same episode, this card was seen in Yugi's Duel against the Kageyama sisters. Yugi had this card in his hand at the beginning of the duel, but he never played it.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 20: "Double Trouble Duel, Part 2", this card is seen in the hand of Dark Yugi in his duel against Daimon.
