- In episode 16, Gill Randsborg uses this card during his Ground Duel against Akiza Izinski. He Special Summons this card via the first effect of "Masked Knight LV5". The first effect of "Black Garden" then halves this card's ATK and Special Summons a "Rose Token" to Akiza's side of the field. Randsborg then equips this card with "Glory Shield". This card then attacks a "Rose Token". The Rose Token isn't destroyed, but Akiza still takes Battle Damage. This activates the second effect of "Glory Shield", allowing Randsborg to destroy "Doppelganger". He then activates this card's effect to inflict 1500 damage to Akiza. Randsborg then sets "Martyr Flag" and intends to use it to double this card's ATK during Akiza's Battle Phase and if she tries to attack this card while it's weakened. Akiza then activates the final effect of "Black Garden" to destroy it and all three of her Rose Tokens in order to Special Summon "Black Rose Dragon" from her Graveyard. Since "Black Garden" is no longer on the field, this card's ATK returns to normal. Akiza then activates the second effect of "Black Rose Dragon" to banish "Wall of Ivy" from her Graveyard and reduce this card's ATK to 0 until the End Phase. "Black Rose Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card, winning Akiza the Duel.
