Card Rulings:Elemental HERO Divine Neos
OCG Rulings
- Banishing "1 "Neos", "Neo Space", "Neo-Spacian", or "HERO" monster" from your Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect to increase its ATK and gain the effect of the banished monster.[1]
- The increase of 500 ATK applies as long as this card remain face-up on the field.[1]
- "Darkness Neosphere" is a "Neos" monster, so it can be used as a Fusion Material for "Elemental HERO Divine Neos".[2]
- When Fusion Summoning "Elemental HERO Divine Neos", you cannot treat "Elemental HERO Neos" as both a "HERO" monster and a "Neos" monster. If you use "Elemental HERO Neos" etc. as a "Neos" or "HERO" Fusion Material, then you must use also use a "HERO" monster or a "Neos" monster other than that monster.[3]
- When Fusion Summoning "Elemental HERO Divine Neos", you can use "Neo Space Pathfinder" as a "Neos" Fusion Material. Also, a "Neo-Spacian" can only be used as a "Neo-Spacian", and cannot be used as the 1 "Neos" Fusion Material.[4]
- The ATK increase by the effect of "Elemental HERO Divine Neos" applies as long as "Elemental HERO Divine Neos" remains face-up on the field. Also, if the effect of "Elemental HERO Divine Neos" is activated again in a subsequent turn, it gains a further 500 ATK.[5]
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Miracle Contact: "Elemental HERO Divine Neos", "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero" and "Elemental HERO The Shining" are not considered to be ""Elemental HERO" Fusion Monster that lists "Elemental HERO Neos" as a Fusion Material" for "Miracle Contact". Therefore, "Elemental HERO Divine Neos", "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero" and "Elemental HERO The Shining" cannot be Special Summoned with the effect of "Miracle Contact".[6]

- Removing 1 "Neos", "Neo-Spacian", "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero", or "Evil Hero" monster in your Graveyard from play is a cost.
- You can remove from play a Normal Monster "Neos" or "Elemental Hero" monster to activate the effect of "Elemental Hero Divine Neos". In this case "Elemental Hero Divine Neos" will not gain any effects.
- If you use "Elemental Hero Neos" as a Fusion Material Monster, it can be used as a "Neos" monster or an "Elemental Hero" monster, but it cannot be used as both at the same time. If you use it as a "Neos" monster, you will still need another "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero" or "Evil Hero" monster.
- "Neo-Spacian" monsters cannot be used as "Neos" Fusion Material Monsters.
- If you remove "Evil Hero Dark Gaia" to activate the effect of "Elemental Hero Divine Neos", the original ATK of "Elemental Hero Divine Neos'" does not change.
- If you return "Elemental Hero Divine Neos" to your Extra Deck by using "Contact Out", you cannot Special Summon the Fusion Material Monsters used to Fusion Summon it because the Fusion Material Monsters listed on "Elemental Hero Divine Neos" are not specificly named cards.
