OCG Rulings
[Regarding "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 3 face-up Continuous Spells you control to the GY."][1]
- It is not treated as an effect. It is a procedure to Special Summon this monster.
- This is the only way to Special Summon this card. (Even if this card leaves the field after being Special Summoned this way, it cannot be Special Summoned by other card effects.)
- Special Summoning this way does not start a Chain Link.
- Sending Continuous Spell Cards to the Graveyard and Special Summoning this card do not happen at the same time.
[Regarding the effect "While this card is in face-up Defense Position, monsters your opponent controls cannot target monsters for attacks, except this one."][1]
- It is a Continuous Effect.
[Regarding the effect "If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the GY: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent."][1]
- It is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Monster Zone.
- It activates mandatorily.
- It activates at the end of the Damage Step in which this monster destroyed an opponent's monster by battle and sent it to the Graveyard.
- It does not activate if this monster is no longer face-up in the Monster Zone at the timing this effect is activated, for example, if this card battles a monster with the same ATK and both monsters are destroyed.

- Q: Can "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" or " Anteatereatingant" be Special Summoned by sending to the Graveyard a "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" in the Spell & Trap Zone that is treated as a Continuous Spell Card?
- A: You can Special Summon "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" etc. by sending to the Graveyard a "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" in the Spell & Trap Zone that is treated as a Continuous Spell Card.[2]
- Q: An Attack Position "Volcanic Doomfire" and a Defense Position "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" are face-up in my Monster Zones. In this situation, if my opponent conducts their Battle Phase, can their monsters attack?
- A: In this case, the effect of "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" that prevents opponent's monsters from targeting other monsters for attacks is being applied, but since the effect of "Volcanic Doomfire" that forces all opponent's Attack Position monsters to attack "Volcanic Doomfire" is also being applied, all opponent's Attack Position monsters must attack "Volcanic Doomfire".[3]
