OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Heroic Challenger - Spartan" is a Trigger Effect.[1]
- The effect can optionally be activated when an opponent's monster declares an attack.[1]
- The effect targets 1 face-up "Heroic" monster in your Monster Zone, except "Heroic Challenger - Spartan" itself.[1]
- When resolving the effect, if the targeted monster is no longer face-up in the Monster Zone, the resolution of "this card gains ATK equal to that face-up monster's original ATK" is not applied.[1]
