- Q: "Salamangreat Sanctuary" is face-up in my Field Zone, and a "Salamangreat Heatleo" affected by "Forbidden Lance' is face-up in my Monster Zone. In this situation, can I apply the effect of "Salamangreat Sanctuary" and Link Summon another "Salamangreat Heatleo" using the existing copy as the only material?
- A: Normally you can only Link Summon "Salamangreat Heatleo" using 2 or more FIRE Effect Monsters that add up to 3 materials, but the effect of "Salamangreat Sanctuary" allows you to Link Summon one using another "Salamangreat" Link Monster with the same name as the only material. This is not an effect applied to the "Salamangreat" Link Monster on your field being used as the material, so even in this scenario, you can Link Summon another "Salamangreat Heatleo" using only the one already on your field.[2]
