Card Tips:Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight
- Use the effect of "Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North" to Special Summon a Level 4 "Blackwing" monster from the Graveyard and Synchro Summon this card.
- This card's first effect can be triggered even if it is Special Summoned by "Call of the Haunted", "Blackwing Tamer - Obsidian Hawk Joe", etc.
- Activate "Icarus Attack" by Tributing this card, then Special Summon it with the effect of "Blackwing Tamer - Obsidian Hawk Joe", compensating "Icarus Attack"'s tribute and also using this card's first effect once more.
- Even though this is a "Blackwing" monster, its Synchro Materials are generic, so you can use it in any Deck that can Summon Level 6 Synchro Monsters; while "Goyo Guardian" and "Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth" have a higher ATK, this card's effect lets it defeat them in battle, and can even destroy monsters with up to 3200 ATK.
- If you control "Black Whirlwind": Normal Summon "Blackwing - Pinaki the Waxing Moon", then add "Blackwing - Gladius the Midnight Sun" from your Deck to your hand, Special Summon it and Synchro Summon this card. Normal Summon another "Blackwing" and use the effect of "Black Whirlwind" again, adding "Blackwing - Oroshi the Squall" to your hand. Special Summon "Oroshi the Squall" and use both it and this card to Synchro Summon "Blackwing Tamer - Obsidian Hawk Joe" (use the Battle Position-changing effect of "Oroshi the Squall" if need be); activate its effect to Special Summon this card. During the End Phase, use the effect of "Pinaki the Waxing Moon" to search one more "Blackwing" monster.
- This combo gives you 2 powerful monsters to attack with, thins your Deck by searching 3 cards, deals a considerable effect damage to your opponent, while also weakening one of their monsters.
- Once you will be controlling 3 "Blackwing" monsters at the end of this (this card, "Obsidian Hawk Joe" and the second one you Normal Summoned thanks to this card), you will be able to activate "Delta Crow - Anti Reverse" and/or "Black Sonic" from your hand.
