• This card's Synchro Material monsters match the monsters used in the anime for its Dark Synchro Summon - a Dark Tuner ("Dark Tuner Catastrogue") plus a Beast-Type monster ("Blizzard Lizard")

• This card bears a resemblance with a Christian Cross and a traditional Japanese Yuki-onna (Snow Spirit).

• This card's name may be based on the author F. Scott Fitzgerald, as he is well-known for his winter-themed books.

• This card's name may also be based on the Destroyer of the United States Navy, the USS Fitzgerald. The Dark Synchro "Dark Diviner" that appears around the same time in the anime has the Japanese name "Jet-Black Zumwalt", which happens to correspond to both a single ship from the time and a class of United States Navy destroyers as well. Both of these were in turn named after late US Naval officers. The Dark Synchro "Dark Flat Top" is also based on a Naval warship.
