If you activate "Spell Shield Type-8" as soon as the Citadel spell card activates, does the Citadel become destroyed or can it still stop itself from being destroyed? If so, would it get destroyed because its effect's spell speed is too slow? If it can't stop itself from being destroyed, can cards like dust tornado or raigeki break work and still destroy the Citadel?
Yes
The Citadel wont be able to stop itself being destroyed since it has no Spell Counters on it - it does not get a counter from its own activation. The same would happen if you chained Dust Tornado or Raigeki Break. Field spells are Spell Speed 1 and can be countered by most other cards. - Dan Green 23:52, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
