i know these two questions might be obvious but i was in a duel recently and i summoned lyla the lightsworn sorceress and i tried to activate its effect on the same turn i summoned it, but we kind of got into a discussion that i could only use it the next turn after i summoned it, so i just wanted to find out if it was possible to use it on the same turn it is summoned.
the second question i had was about the lightsworn paladin which states during the damage step i can activate its effect again we had a discussion that it only activates if i only attack a monster, would this be correct? i know i ask some odd questions but im a returning duelist after 4 years and im pretty rusty and im still trying to understand the newer cards, so thanks for any help on these questions Freezydragon 07:44, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes you can activate "Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress" effect the turn she's summoned, because it's an ignition effect.
"Jain, Lightsworn Paladin"s ATK gaining effect activates only if you attack an opponent's monster. ATEMVEGETA 3:01, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- 1) "Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress"'s effect changes her Battle Position. It is not the same as the once-per-turn manual position change that you can do.
- 2) "Jain, Lightsworn Paladin"'s text reads "If this card attacks an opponent's monster,...". She has to attack; being attacked doesn't count.
