After seeing the new banlist, I needed to figure out what deck would be good this format. Samurai? Not good enough. Debris Plants? Pretty much DEAD. Blackwings? Meh. But I finally decided on a deck that can quickly and effectively bring any top tier deck to a grinding halt and slowly scratch away their life points one by one (or 1000 by 1000, really). Meet Anti-Heal.

The deck runs very few monsters, since they act more as support for the trap lineup. 3 Nurse Reficules turn things like Upstart Goblin and Soul Taker into burn staples, and turns Gift Card into a semi-nightmare. 2 Mystic Tomato search it out. 3 Magical Merchant draw into, well, anything. I thought of using Deko but ended up drawing into useless monsters too often. Finally, 2 Brain Jackers steal big monsters like Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En and Blackwing Armor Master and burn through the opponent.

Pot of Duality is a staple in the deck, as it gets Nurse and Gift Card into my hand very quickly. As if the deck didn't have enough draw power between 3 Duality, 3 Merchant, and an Allure, 3 Upstart Goblin inflict damage and let me thin the deck. 3 Messenger of Peace and Level Limit stop the opponent from attacking long enough for me to set up my combos. MST and 2 Soul Taker are removal, while Soul Taker burns on the side. Finally, Allure adds even more thinning and gives Tomatoes something more useful to do if I'm close to winning and don't need them.

Bad Reaction is the trap counterpart to Nurse, and serves the same purpose. Gift Card is straight burn, and it does put a pretty big dent in the opponent. Warnings, Bribes, and a Solemn Judgment protect my precious backrows from things like Black Rose Dragon, Royal Decree, and, worst of all, Giant Trunade. Eye lets me time these cards just right, and it burns the opponent as a bonus. Finally, Bind, Oppression, and Wall all just slow down the opponent.

Any suggestions for the deck are appreciated. ShortCircuitFTW (talkcontribs) 02:36, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

I think one less MST to up a Dark Bribe is essential. 76.121.80.38 (talk) 05:48, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

I thought about it, but Bribe can't hit on-field things like Royal Decree. I'm actually trying to find room for a second MST. ShortCircuitFTW (talkcontribs) 20:10, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Get another Soul Taker. At 2, I think you've seriously underestimated its worth in a Bad Reaction deck. Also, how about a copy or two of Rain of Mercy? It gets you ahed by 2000 Life Points, which is pretty good. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 23:18, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Those sound like good ideas, but what should I take out? I'm kind of pressed for deck space. ShortCircuitFTW (talkcontribs) 23:40, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Edit:

-1 MST

+1 Soul Taker

I think that's a good idea, 'cause it makes the OTK easier. Also, another thing I might do with the deck is add in more fairies (like another Kuribon and such) and use Kristya. ShortCircuitFTW (talkcontribs) 20:41, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Major updates. ShortCircuitFTW (talkcontribs) 23:52, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

I think you should side in some Nature's Reflections, so if you accidently burn yourslef, you can chain one of these so your opponent gets burnt. MachinaMan (talkcontribs) 03:16, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

How would I burn myself? Nurse only works on the opponent. ShortCircuitFTW (talkcontribs) 13:26, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

Oops... Never mind then. MachinaMan (talkcontribs) 02:50, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Entire deck was stolen at regionals. Sooper dooper sad face. D}: Well, I'm replaicng the deck, but it's becoming strictly hypothetical now.

V2.0

Let's try this one more time...

Some brand new stuff from EXVC has been added. I can use Full House on a spare Simochi, and Vampire Dragon to search out, well... a lot of good stuff. After playing a whopping 2 rounds at last regionals ):, I destroyed GK and lost to Formula Monarch. Because of this, the side has been edited to hurt Formula Monarch even more. (stupid guy attacking over my Defense Position Banishers with a treeborn...) Wattsquirrel prevents a treeborn from ever coming out again, while Chain Disappearance will remove all of them.

I still need some work on this for my regionals this Sat., so I need all the help I can get.
