I would like to start constucting an atlantean deck as the structure deck for them will realease this summer and the cards are already on Dueling Network. However, i have no decklist to start from aside from the structure deck itself. All i ask is your opinions on the cards in the structure deck, as well as any cards outside of the structure deck that might go well with it. Thank you.--71.169.24.11 (talk) 18:34, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Hmmmm what you request is not what I'd expect to go about detailing but ok.

Atlantean Armed Soldier (that better be the right link...) works well with various support cards. He's a summon engine; makes most of your plays reasonable.

Atlantean Roar is busted. There are plenty of ways to get things in the grave quickly, so you can get the most from it, also works as a more useful Scapegoat if ever so needed.

Atlantean Marksman is easily useable if you are winning and want to win even faster. That and it's better with support cards then the others. Also makes Pikeman not useful...er (unless you just wanted more level 2 monsters.)

Atlantean Dragon Rider is ok early game but it's nothing special.

Atlantean Assaultman...using him depends on how you want to play the deck. If you want control no, if you want agression then yes.

Atlantean Dragon Poseidra I find it to be a waste of space. Now it's not most cear if you are restriced to a budget or not, if you are then just use some other Water related "boss" monster (maybe from another structure deck), if not then xyz monsters everywhere is far better.

That's all the new stuff. Here's the old.

Deep Sea Diva is very useful. Another summon engine and she's a tuner if you want to make use of that (Unlikely with the field being used in this...the next "umi" on the other hand...)

Armed Sea Hunter and Mermaid Archer are more early game harassers, overall more useful then Assaultman.

Skreech does not help this by very much. This ain't the right kind of water deck for that. Yes it can set up a game pusher but you are pretty much telegraphing to you opponent that.

So many flip type effect monsters in this I see...you should limit yourself to one of them, that or just one of each shenanagins.

Reese the Ice Mistress...eh if you want to bother with Dragon Rider then you'll be better off with Dewdark of the Ice Barrier for consistancy or some such bs. Using her just again depends on your playstyle more then anything.

All the spells except for Water Hazard are fine.

I find the traps in this to be an interesting set up. Use Spiritual Water Art - Aoi only if you got ways to make it not have you lose too much advantage.

There that's all I say about that. Any not metioned monsters are bleh but they get what they have to be done well enough. 96.249.200.162 (talk) 20:10, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

What no Mermail - Abysspike or Mermail - Abyssturge? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 21:26, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

I'd recomend someone adds them to the structure deck's page if they are a part of it. Just saying. Maybe those two are the red links there eh. Or maybe I'm just overlooked them like over 10 times. I'd find the both of them to be much better thing to use then Skreech is my opinion and blah. 96.249.200.162 (talk) 21:55, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Skreech can't trigger the Atlantean's effects. It's just the text on the card's stop that from working out. Read it somewhere, but can't find it right now. I don't think the Mermail are part of the Structure deck, since they all come out in Abyss Rising, a booster pack. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:07, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Eh maybe I worded it weird but I'm just saying the structure comes with Skreech; the Mermails would be one easy replacement choice over that. Hmmm not sure how close the booster comes out in time with the structure, just keeping this simple by focusing on it's content (the water support it gives in there seems sufficent not icluding more staples imo). I've tried this sort of deck on teh duel network and I can like get 2-3 random extra deck monsters in a single turn pretty much whenever I feel like it. I just wonder if the OP will come round ere or not. 96.249.200.162 (talk) 22:21, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
