Ok so lets say my opponent uses Obelisk's effect and inflicts 4000 damage, can i activate Doppelganger then chain its activation with Barrel Behind the Door?
- Obelisk does NOT have any effect that inflicts damage. If you're talking about attacks, then it would be battle damage and not effect damage, both traps there can't be used to response battle damage.
- But I don't think Barrel Behind the Door can be chained to Doppelganger since you won't take any damage (BBTD resolves, reflecting damage to your opponent, therefore you don't take any damage, and Doppelganger will not have any effect.) Plantama (talk • contribs) 14:57, December 4, 2010 (UTC)
- What said.
- Also, "Barrel Behind the Door" must be Chained directly to the effect. There can't be anything in between. For example, if your opponent activates "Cannon Soldier"'s effect as Chain Link 1, then you can only activate "Barrel Behind the Door" as Chain Link 2. It can't be Chain Link 3, or 4, or anything.
- Furthermore, you activate "Doppelganger" after you take the damage. So, with "Cannon Soldier", you let the effect fully resolve and you take 500 damage, and then you activate "Doppelganger" in a new Chain. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 00:58, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
