If I activated the ignition like effect of Wave motion cannon can my opponent chain Barrel Behind the door? because Barrel behind the door got a new errata that makes a previous rulling invalid http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Barrel_Behind_the_Door S.nickid (talk • contribs) 19:35, October 4, 2015 (UTC)
- first off, Wave Motion Cannon is not an Ignition effect. only monsters can have ignition effects
- And by wording there is no problem........except that Barrel behind the door has no PSCT. From its rulings, its PSCT effect would probably be "When a CARD that would inflict damage is activated..."
- So no, Ruling states (by name no less) that barrel cannot be used on Wave-motion cannon. even if Barrels text implies it should, its just out of date text
- More importantly, What the hell are you talking about? Barrel did NOT get new errata

Dread: Wave motion cannon got an ignition-like effect that start a chain when sent to the graveyard as a cost to applied card effect damage times the number of your stanbyphase that pass x1000.S.nickid (talk • contribs) 20:23, October 4, 2015 (UTC)
- There is a difference between activating a CARD and activating a card EFFECT.
- From what the rulings tell me, Barrel can only stop the first type, the CARD activating. Wave motion has already activated (probably 8 turns ago) and Barrel cannot respond to Effect activations.
- In other words, it cannot respond to Ignition-like Effects. only effects that activate when the card itself is activated (That is to say, when the card is placed on the field)
