Forum:Battle phase Qs

So... I was talking to someone at locals and I heard something like this... That person at locals claimed that the Head Judge of NY ruled this way... Situation: Enter battle phase. Breaker attacks a lumina. Player A passes priority. Player B says "OKAY" and drops honest... even though it had not gone to the /damage step/damage calculation, and Player B wanted to use BoM after the timing of "Mirror Force" had passed...

The Judge ruled this way because he or she said that passing Priority during attack declaration for both players results in the entering of the Damage step, where BoM cannot be used.

Is this true?

Also, can Rai-oh prevent Gold Sarc from adding the card to my hand?24.193.88.193 08:43, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Not sure about the quesion with Honest, but TKRO says "Neither player can add cards from their Deck to their hand except by drawing them.". Sarc adds the card from RFP Zone to hand. Falzar FZ 09:28, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

about the first argument about Honest, it would be better if player says "Damage Step" and then he drops Honest, that would be more acceptable than "OK", June23ly 12:33, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, but Player B skipped the "Before Damage Step" phase.24.193.88.193 16:35, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

  • Player A passed the priority to the respond of the attack window. If player B passes back then it is still the Battle Step, and Player A can still activate Book of Moon in another chain and then advance to the Damage Step. In your case, I would say that player B must recall the activation of Honest and continue the game normally from the Battle Step. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 17:45, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
  • If an attack is declared, and both players pass Priority, then you automatically move the Damage Step. This is because there can only be one chain in response to an attack, and Player A passing Priority signifies that he/she has no cards to activate, or doesn't want to activate any cards, and would like to proceed to the Damage Step. If both players passes to the attack declaration window, then the game doesn't advance to the Damage Step yet. Players can still activate other effect (not in respond to the attack) during the Battle Step, and then, after both players agree and passes, then game advance to the Damage Step.
