if my graveyard has 28 cards and i activate beckoning light bringing the total cards in my graveyard to 32 cards can i activate blasting the ruins before i return light monsters to my hand/use the second effect of beckoning light? — This unsigned comment was made by 141.157.239.38 (talk • contribs) 1:50, December 27, 2009
- No. You cannot activate a card in the middle of resolving another effect. The Chain is,
- Chain Link 1: "Beckoning Light".
- (You haven't discarded yet, since "Beckoning Light" discards as an effect. Right now, you only have 28 cards in your Graveyard, so you can't activate "Blasting the Ruins".)
- (resolve)
- Chain Link 1: You discard your hand. [Right now, you are in the middle of resolving an effect, so you can't activate "Blasting the Ruins".] Then, you add cards to your hand.
- After the Chain resolves, you only have 29 cards in your Graveyard (the 28 previous ones + "Beckoning Light"), so you can't activate "Blasting the Ruins".
- Also, remember to sign your posts with four tildes ~~~~, since that automatically creates a signature for you.
